Sheraton Grand Krakow

The location was fantastic on the river with views of the wavel castle. The staff were so attentive and catered for our vegan requirements throughout. Organising official trips and taxis perfect. A wonderful fruit bowl For my daughters birthday was delivered to the room and the club class extras made the stay to perfection

Although we knew the room was not going to be cleaned unless requested it would have been nice if some sink cleaner and cloth was left in bathroom for us to use and extra toilet rolls as not good having to ask for that kind of amenities daily.

The room on the fourth floor overlooked the river, great view, great artwork on the wall’s as throughout the hotel. A big spacious atrium area with a restaurant and island bar with a large seating area, very comfortable. The rooftop terrace is a great place to eat and enjoy superb cocktails. The sports bar is a great place for a beer and nibbles. To me the best was the club lounge, probably one of the best we’ve stayed, delicious hot and cold food,beautiful desserts. And a great selection of beer wines and spirits, a big thank you to Robert a great host. The whole team were as friendly as they were professional.

Nothing negative.

The internal design and decoration and cleanliness of the whole hotel was superb. The beds in our room were blissful - superb mattresses and pillows. The decor of the room was excellent and we had an internal view of the hotel which was pleasant but not as good as one of the river which we requested. The staff were very helpful although the receptionist was difficult to understand.

The food was good but not excellent. For example the minestrone soup in the Italian restaurant had half-cooked chopped vegetables but no pasta. A bit disappointing. The baked eggplant parmigiana served in our room was far too heavy with cheese. I could only eat half of it. (However, I note that generally, the Polish diet is much heavier than the British).

The location is in a fantastic spot across from the river and within walking distance to the Castle and main square. Love the roof terrace, although with weddings Pre planned 2 of the 4 days we couldn’t use and you may have to reserve! The ground floor garden has the same predicament but late evening more accessible. The swimming pool is way to small more like a paddling pool or kids learning pool.

Most of the staff are very delightful and pleasant with a range of languages spoken. However I assume that getting the hospitality sector up and running they are cautious on employing older age group with experience as the breakfast staff and bar staff are so young. Additionally, not everyday housekeeping will freshen your room unless you request and every 3 days. Certainly the administration can be better for a hotel of their rating given my requests were by email and face to face conversations still managed to make mistakes.

We have been staying at this hotel for almost 20 years, at the beginning very often, later less often, but we decided to come back again, encouraged by the information that the hotel has been completely renovated. We were not disappointed, on the contrary, we had a fantastic stay. The hotel has many advantages, after refurbishment, the rooms are very luxurious, they resemble the interior of a luxury apartment, not a hotel room, our room had a wonderful view of the Vistula River and Wawel Castle, the bed was extremely comfortable, the breakfast was excellent, with a huge selection of dishes, plus a very helpful staff. The hotel also has a huge advantage over other highly advertised 5-star boutique hotels in Krakow, it has a parking and you can drive up to it with luggage - when we book a room for New Year's Eve, we considered other 5-star hotels in Krakow, but I must admit that the vision of walking in the rain with a suitcase 10 min from the city car park to the hotel was not inviting and we chose the Sheraton. And our favorite restaurant in Krakow, "Pod Nosem" is very close, so we have everything in Sheraton Krakow.

Nothing, it was an excellent stay.

The Sheraton Grand Krakow Hotel is an ideal choice for staying in the city. The hotel is in an excellent location - about 15 minutes' walk from the center - and has easy access to public transport. I had an excellent stay - the room is very clean and equipped and, in addition, the service is exceptional. All the staff were super friendly and helpful, for example when I needed to leave my luggage at the reception after checkout. The breakfast is excellent - it has several options of breads, cheeses, fruits, em, juices etc and it's all delicious.

The pool is very little, almost no possibility to use it, as it is occupied by families every time you try to use it. The saunas are separated for men/women - no option to use it other way. The staff at the pool is very unwelcoming - so the pool is being open up to 21, already at 20:45 we couldn"t use it - " i have to clean it" was the answer, and as we asked just to relax in water for a minute after the sauna, no appropriate answer was given. Dear Sheraton, please train your staff appropriately and, if the pool is limited - please make an option to pre-order it.

The location is perfect. The breakfast in fantastic. The staff are great.

We paid extra to upgrade to a room with a view to the water but were given a room with a view to the car park. When I complained we were told there was no room available. There was a wedding on so I assume they were given priority rooms. The next night we we were able to change over to a room with a view but the room contained two single beds. When we queried this and then someone attended and cable tied the beds together. Through the night I felt myself fall between the bed as the cable ties had broken. Not happy.

The manager is young but very professional. Although the hotel design is a little bit old design, and the restaurant downtowns provides limited choices of food, the manager always tried his best to meet our needs~

The hotel is old design, especially the bathroom. Considering their unique location, the roof was supposed to be an amazing place to have dinner, however, they only provide fast food, I feel so sorry for the balcony on the roof. It’s so inconvenient that we have to go out to find a restaurant to have dinner outdoors~

We've always enjoyed staying at Sheraton, wherever we were so it was an obvious choice. We know the hotel has everything we need and there are no unpleasant surprises. We loved the comfortable bed, breakfast and overall the stay was as expected.

These are small aspects but I feel worth mentioning - we were offered a room that was different from the one we had booked so we had to go back and forth between the rooms and the reception just to get this sorted. In the end we stayed in a room that wasn't in the best part of the building but apparently this was the only room available. In the end we think we weren't in the room we had paid for but since this was just one night we didn't complain. The shower pressure was very low and it was difficult to shower as a result. The room was generally tidy but there were layers of dust in some places so it was obvious cleaning is only superficial.
