Hotel Faranda Bambito Chiriquí

This was a convenient stop for us on our way to the Cerro Punta area. The hotel is comfortable and well maintained. We didn't have a car, so it wasn't super convenient for us because you really have to drive to get to any of the trails or other activities in the area. There's not much to do at the hotel itself. They have a garden out front which is nice enough, although there's a booth at the entrance where you have to pay to get in. I'm not sure if guests have to pay a fee just to walk in the garden - we arrived late and the guy who collects the fee was gone.

The comfortable and beautiful room with a gorgeous view makes my days in the hotel unforgettable. Needless to say the amenities such as the gym , swimming pool , trail and garden are something that I didn’t expect.. so definitely I love this hotel .. lastly the food was really good and tasty.

The hotel is really good .. I just have to point out something.. the restaurant has big glass windows that showcases the garden .. but the view is blurry because the glass is not transparent.. I don’t know if the material is of that kind or maybe is not that clean sufficient to have a perfect clear view while staying in there to have a breakfast.. but Will be great if they can have those glass windows transparent so we can appreciate more the view .

It was peaceful and very relaxing. The garden was clean and organized. The lady at the garden's entrance was so kind when giving ideas about where to go and what to visit.

The pool area could be improved with some music with hidden speakers. The breakfast at the restaurant is so basic and options are very limited.

The staff was very friendly. The food was great. It was fun to watch the people on the grounds

Even in the evening the shower water was only luke warm. No hot water in the morning.

Very well manicured grounds. Breakfast was good and the staff were friendly and helpful. There are some walking paths around the KOI ponds and there is some playground equipment for you kids. Even a trampoline. Plenty of parking.

There are stairs to get to each of the 3 levels of the main hotel but they are only half a flight for 1st floor which is down and second floor is up. Third floor is full light of steps. Truck traffic is a bit noisy on the road,

The location is spectacular. It is an older resort that has been well-maintained. The rooms could use an eventual face-lift, but were comfortable and everything worked well. There was ample hot water, which is occasionally an issue traveling in Panama. The breakfast was very ample and well-prepared. Staff were extremely pleasant. We have been wanting to stay there since moving to Panama several years ago, as it was reminiscent of an older mountain lodge where we are from. It did not disappoint and made for a nice get-away. We did not use the pool.

While the restaurant food was good, it was a little pricier that comparable options in the area.

The breakfast was great. We had one problem with the room, and the staff were able to address it and fix it immediately.

The hot tub wasn't working. That seems to be a trend for us in Central America - we've yet to find a place that advertised a hot tub to find one in working order!

Everything. This place is amazing. The pool is clean, well maintained and huge. There's a jacuzzi and a sauna. There's an ecological trail where you can go on a hike to the top of the mountain which is a nice spot for watching the beautiful scenery and birds. The landscaping is beautiful with different kinds of flowers. The sound of water hitting the rocks is relaxing. The food at the restaurant is amazing. This is an amazing place and I'm definitely coming back

Lovely gardens, good food and staff was very efficient and helpful. This hotel is obviously old and a bit worn, but it has its charms.

There was a sewage smell.

food at the restaurant too expensive for the quality. The rooms need some maintenance, like new curtains.
