The staff

Appalling food in the restaurant. On a Friday and Saturday evening in a restaurant with some 40 tables, at most two were occupied. The meat was tough and old. The vegetables were burnt and the chips were soggy. We gave it another chance on the Saturday evening since it was pouring with rain and we didn’t want to get soaked going into town. It was BBQ night. Hardly anything can go wrong with a barbecue you might think. You would be wrong! Old meat on the spareribs, fatty chicken on a stick, the usual burnt vegetables and our old friend soggy chips. Surely the management can look at their weekend restaurant turnover and draw the conclusion that there is something very, very wrong in the kitchen!

The 2-bedroom apartment was a great size, clean, and comfortable. Hotel staff were very pleasant.and helpful. Location was great, bike rental and return was easy and we had a great time exploring some of the island. After checkout the hotel keep your luggage and transport it down to the ferry for you to pick up there - fantastic idea

Breakfast had a good selection of foods but it was not replenished regularly so there were long waits for items, especially water, juices and the warm cooked food. The breakfast room was not even particularly busy. Eventually I politely asked to be told it was coming. We gave up waiting in the end.

- the staff was incredibly helpful and efficient. One example: my husband was sick and they very quickly found a doctor during Easter weekend and even drove us there (it is common not to brung cars go Terschelling). - the breakfast is really nice. The pancakes were super fluffy and kept coming in fresh (as opposed to sitting for hours in the buffet). - apartment XXL was obviously big, clean and well equipped. We brought our dog and there was even a first meal for him there. Details matter. - Playroom is nice with lots of things to play (lego, dollhouses, ping pong). And they organized a couple of activities a day which was a nice distraction to my son. - Location is great. Close to town but not too close so you still feel in the woods.

- i did not realise there was no daily cleaning service. Not sure if that was clearly informed in the description. And I wish - if that is the case - that we could pay a fee to include it. 4 days was a bit long for not having the service with 5 people (including 2 children) and a dog

Great room options for families with two bedroom in the apartments, large balconies and a kitchen - lounge area. Quiet, peaceful location but also lots to do for kids - play park, swimming pool and now a tree top climbing course and excellent playground with inflated slide just behind the hotel! Kids here are so happy:-)

The breakfast unfortunately has gone down hill since we last stayed 2 years ago. There used to be more options and better quality but it’s still okay:-)

The service was very good, the staff were very helpful and nothing was difficult. We had a last moment request and they helped us to the fullest. The appartement is very big and comfortable. The breakfast was good and enough choice was available.

The price was a bit higher than average for what you get. Furthermore the beds were a bit soft for our taste. But this is a matter of what you like.

great location: at the border of a pinforest, really quiet. Large appartment. Beds really confortable. Delicious breakfast. Fine to be able to enjoy the sauna.

The openingtime for the swimmingpool. In fact the swimmingpool doesen't belong to the hotel but is the swimmingpool of the island. The hotel have a special door to use the pool but only on certain hours during the day, not always the most practical

Fantastically spacious and well equipped apartment. Helpful and efficient staff. Facilities for kids on premises and complimentary free passes to the neighbouring public swimming pool were a great add. Also, transporting our luggage to the ferry whilst we took our rental bikes is a super service. We'd like to go back.

With this large an apartment the living area could have been designed better (e.g. a hang-out/ beanbag area to relax indoors)

Access to the swimming pool took some getting used to (claustrophobic locked shower lobby) and hours available to hotel guests unclear (everything written only in Dutch which is tricky for non-Dutch speakers).

This hotel is located in a quiet part of West Terschelling surrounded by lots of trees - it was very peaceful to sit on the balcony and enjoy the sun/breeze. The room was larger than expected - 2 bedrooms, very nice bath, lots of closet space, a full kitchen, and a very large living/dining area with plenty of comfortable seating. The WiFi worked well. The restaurant was ok for lunch (we did not try dinner), and having the option to order croissants/bread for the morning was nice when we were getting an early start. The staff at both the reception desk and in the restaurant were very nice and helpful. Bike parking was plentiful, and the hotel is located near a bike path through the surrounding woods and dunes which was very convenient!

The bedrooms share a wall with the outside corridor of the hotel - and most of the wall is windows. So, while it was nice to be able to open the windows to get a breeze while staying in the room, we did not feel comfortable leaving the windows open while we were sleeping or while we were not in the room because anyone in the corridor could just hop right into our room. Other guests can also be a bit noisy in the hallway corridor, so if you are a light sleeper, I would recommend ear plugs.

We had a great stay here. Our kids had a lot of fun and things to do (pool, table tennis, air hocky, trampoline, organised events by the accomodation) I myself enjoyed the fitness room. The personal was very friendly and helpfull and the surrounding very quiet. I can realy recommand this hotel.
