Boutique Hotel De Salon

Excellent location, close to many points of interest. Very nice and elegant street. Very elegant building where we had a large suite (nr. 6), well decorated and with a high ceiling. The bathroom is beautiful. There also is a small private courtyard and a common garden.

It is strange not to have any staff present on site after 5 pm (only via phone or email, which one time did not work), especially in case clients need something or assistance. Suite nr. 6 is gorgeous but adjacent to a pub which may be noisy until 11 pm. It did not disturb us in the end but may deserve to be taken into consideration if you like to sleep early in the evening.

Junior suite was really lovely, very comfortable bed, bathroom very spacious and well appointed. Extra beds for children fitted in well and were also really comfortable. Hotel staff assisted very well when our travel plans were delayed by an EasyJet flight cancellation, and made the late check in very easy. The staff were also really helpful with restaurant recommendations locally. The hotel is in a great location, on one of the main shopping streets in Den Haag. Great for walking around the city, although watch out for bikes. Great cycling café across the road.

The staircase up to the Kings room was lethal very steep and lots of them ! would suit younger couple perhaps daft allocating it to two oldies ! The position of the TV is ludicrous i banged my head twice and i knew it was there ! it should be mounted out the way against one side of the wall 3 really steep large steps down to the toilet (fun at night) maybe add more smaller steps it felt like an assault course i suspect the Irish pub next door could well be bothersome during the summer months the back garden is big and along side the hotel That said we enjoyed a guiness or two there ! don't get me wrong whilst the property is not ideal it does have charm and location going for it

- super friendly staff (we had a personalized welcome card in our room by arrival!) - breakfast with freshly made eggs/waffles/pancakes - quiet but located super central

- shower didn’t have a curtain/door which of course functions but makes you feel a bit cautious to not set the bathroom under water :D - very bright led lights on the bathroom mirror and radiators that might be disturbing if you’re sensitive to that - bathroom door does not close fully in superior double so if you wanna use the toilet in peace your roomie might wanna leave the room beforehand :D

I wasn't sure what to expect after having booked online in a hurry but I was amazed how lovely the hotel was. Beautiful decor everywhere and our uniquely decorated room was enormous, spotlessly clean, modern and luxurious. I felt like a millions dollars staying there even though it was in the budget price range. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and the breakfast was delicious. I would love to have stayed longer.

A slightly bigger TV would have been better as the room was so big it was far away!

The staff at this boutique hotel were very friendly and willing to help, and they provided us with nice suggestions on how to make the most of our visiting days in The Hague. They helped us with our luggage which had to be carried up the stairs to the loft, 2 floors up. The room was spacious and warm. In the morning, natural light came in from the windows. The breakfast was delicious and varied. the service was excellent

When I bathe I prefer to have my privacy, so the open shower and bathtub could not satisfy my need. The loft we stayed in could be more beautifully and modernly decorated. I found it very simple and there was no wardrobe. A larger desk could be even more useful for such a large room. Furthermore, if you have difficulty walking or mobility issues I would not recommend this accommodation or perhaps this room. We stayed in the loft and had to go up and down 46 steps to get to our room.

True boutique hotel in historic building Convenient location on street with shop and restaurants

My room was high up lots of stairs Not a problem for me but could be for other travellers Parking was nearby but narrow clearance into lot better not have hulking American style vehicle (rental agency gave me an MG SUV much bigger than desirable)

The team at Salon Fagel are tremendous. Friendly, cheerful, helpful, patient, thorough. They make great pancakes, super omelettes and fantastic jam. They have tremendous knowledge of the city and are able to advise well on good sites to visit, great sights to see and excellent restaurants. Our room was very spacious, comfortable and well equipped. The bathroom contained a large bath, a very spacious walk-in shower and a very effective towel radiator. The room was very light with large windows and a separate sitting area plus direct access to the terrace. The immediate area has a wealth of quality shops, good restaurants and a palace! The walk into the centre is a pleasant ten minute stroll.

Unique property with a huge room and that was gorgeously decorated! We loved our stay here. The staff were very helpful and friendly, the location is the best and the property lovely. The bed was comfortable and we had 2 fold out beds in the room for the kids, for which there was plenty of space. our room also had a huge garden terrace (room 1) which was a lovely relaxing escape.

The hotel is next to an Irish pub, which was not too loud but you could definitely hear the noise from the pub in our room. If you are a light sleeper this might be an issue but it was no bother to us.

Quaint hotel. We had the patio room which is on the 3rd floor. The decor was interesting and homey. Staff super friendly and accommodating. Superb location within easy walking of everything. Beds were comfortable and room was large.

2 long sets of VERY steep stairs! Quite dangerous to climb. Thankfully we only stayed one night so only had carry-on luggage. The staff took up our small bags. Patio was a bit sad with dead plants and weeds. Such a shame as it could be such a lovely area.
