Jan is superfriendly and helpful. There is everything one can need for a stay, with all details well thought through. Including shoepolish and an alarm clock in the room, plus basic cosmetics and hairdryer in the bathroom. That was a very comfortable stay with great value for money!

If you don't smoke be aware that the ground livingroom floor is a smoking zone. Keep in mind that the rooms are on the 1st floor and there is no smoking allowed, so you can skip the smoking zone and not be affected by it.

The price was cheap, the venue was full of beautiful art and lots of space, a very ambient atmosphere. We were shown the full facilities and felt welcome to make use of them. Jan the host was incredibly helpful, pleasant and has a calming influence, much like his home. We travelled under difficult circumstances and so the treatment received here made things so much easier than they could have been. I give this my full recommendation. It's on the number 4 bus route, the bus stop has the same name as the street it's on. At current writing, the single fare by bus is 2.45

Oh come on! No. Really. I'm not going to complain about the wifi not reaching all of the back yard. What didn't I like? This was one of the best stays I've ever had. I would be back here in a heartbeat.

The first thing I loved about this place was the little garden in the yard; full of flowers and very tranquil, both day and night! I had my meals either in the yard or the patio room facing the yard. Jan was very helpful and provided me with anything I needed. I also used the kitchen frequently, and Jan offered all the kitchenware, oil, and multifarious spices for cooking. In the room, there is free coffee and tea bags, with a nice coffee machine and an electric kettle. I did not expect Enschede to be a bit chilly in August, so the hoodie that he had put in the wardrobe became very handy. The sheets were very clean and smelled good and the bed was comfortable. There are also plates, silverware, mugs and cups, toothpaste, shampoo, soap, and many towels! The bathroom was also neat, with a nice hot shower room, and a washing machine and a dryer. The person who cleans the rooms is also friendly and helpful. The house itself is also located in a very green and nice neighborhood with small houses and tiny gardens in front of them. There is a mall nearby that has everything you need for your short or long stay. There is a small pond nearby (10 min walking distance) with a forest-like greenery: peaceful and quiet for a morning or evening walk.

In the living room, it is free to smoke. I am a bit allergic to smoke. but as I had a short stay in the house, I decided not to ask Jan to help with that. I am sure if you are allergic or just don't like the smell of tobaccos and ask him about it, he'll find a solution :)

Jan is a geart host. The place is nice and very clean. The room was very good equipped - coffee machine, dental kit, bathrobe, plates etc. A big supermarket is in 10 min walk, there is a very nice forest nearby. A good value of quality and price.

It's 10 minutes away from the city center but with a bike you solve all of the problems!

The flowers, the comfy room in the attick, privacy if needed, company if wanted, it was exactly what I needed during these 5 days. Jan is the perfect welcoming host, ready to help and listen if you need him to, available, helpful but not intruding. Would (will) definitely try to stay at Enschede again. It has a homey atmosphere that I always look for when renting accommodation. It is also very peaceful and feels safe.

Really good value and quality rooms! Great host! Clean, and everything you need is in the room, even paracetamol and a toothbrush!

As a non smoker I didn’t like the smell on the first floor as it is free for all to smoke. Mattress was way too soft for my liking..

The landlord was very kind and thoughtful. The place is clean, and well equipped. The location is a bit away from the city centre, but it is easy to be reached by bus. There are two supermarkets close by.

Smoke is permitted in the living room. Personally I don't like the smoke smell.

The door of the room makes too much noise, it needs to be greased.

The host, Mr. Vries is very kind and helpful, the house has everything necessary and the room even has a coffee machine and a fridge. Good neighbors too, specially a neighbor called Claudia who saved me from the rain when I arrived announced and hours earlier than I should =)
