City Express Plus by Marriott Merida

it was a nice, clean and modern budget hotel. we stayed over the New year, so I would guess the prices were elevated at the time. A lot of people have written, that it has horrible breakfast, but as a budgethotel, I would call it pretty standard. Not fantastic in any way, but you could have a breakfast and it was ok.

Their coffee in the morning is horrible, like the burnt and bitter coffee you get in many work places. Pretty easy to improve this and it is for me pretty important in the morning. Well, life is too short for bad coffee, so I asked for standard black tea………which they don’t have…..of any kind😂 We stayed at the hotel 3 days and we never had enough towels in the bathroom. there was always an excuse, but please……not enough towels…..?

The hotel is in a nice modern building. The staff was professional and helpful, and they even responded to our request about having a room in the upper floors. We had a nice and comfortable room with a great view from the 8. floor, and the bed was amazing, I would say the best one we had during our 3 weeks trip in Mexico. The room was clean every day.

As everybody else already comment, the breakfast is very simple, which is a pity. In a hotel of that kind of quality, Im sure they would be always graded 10 if they would improve their breakfast service. For us it wasn't a big deal, it was enough to start the day.

Another great stay here (this would be my third time). I didn't wake up early enough to try their included breakfast but loved the nearby restaurants below. Friendly staff, great rooftop pool and spacious, clean rooms.

In-room dining could be better, food was not very good compared to the restaurants below and they didn't have dessert when I wanted to order some off the menu. That's about it, no other complaints.

The staff in this hotel is extremely frendy,especially the breakfast team !!the room where always clean as I stayed 5 days every single day after long day of traveling around Ycatan I found the room nice and fresh The hotel is just next to the long distance bus stop so you can just step out and you are on the bus stop and in the same time just 15 minutes walking from the cathedral in the center Merida is lovely town to see and discover!!!

The hotel is located above a higher-end shopping and dining center not too far from downtown (which you can reach in a ~20 minute leisurely stroll down the Montejo Avenue). It has a rooftop pool with one of the best views of the whole town. Beds are very comfortable, and the hotel itself looks brand new and has some modern features like power and USB sockets on bedside "platforms". The style is rather simplistic but that's fine for the price. You can park in the underground parking lot which the hotel will validate for free.

The free breakfast is quite barebones, with some cereals, yogurts, and fruits, but you can order omelets or eggs for 60-70 MXN.

The staff was awesome, very helpful, friendly and attentive. they were there every time we needed something with out being in your face all the time. Perfect amount of service.

Would have like dressers in the room, no where to really unpack and settle in. Seemed like we were literally living out of yur suitcase.

The luggage porter was very helpful in showing us where to park our car and helping us into our room. The view from the top of the hotel was nice. The bed and room were quite comfortable. Location was good but not directly in the centre

The breakfast servings were small and only continental breakfast was offered in the room deal. We had to go back to reception after check-in to get the WiFi access to work.

The location of the hotel Is amazing. Hotel located in small mall. There are cool restaurants just cross the hotel. Every night there is a live music in the mall. Staff is so friendly. BEST THING IS VERY STRONG WIFI FOR REMOTE WORKERS.

Breakfast included but only few options available. Cereal, melon, papaya, some bread, some canned jars, yogurt. You can count as breakfast not included. The pressure of the water in the shower is low.

The room was great, big and modern Very comfatable bed The Pool on the rooftop is very cool and the view is great The building is new and very good maintained The staff was extremly friendly and helpful Check Out at 1pm Great Location!

no furniture in the room for clothes or suitcases. had to lay suitcases on the floor and take clothes out.
