Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta

The property is ideally situated with extraordinary views in all directions. I loved the facilities and the layout of the hotel. We enjoyed most our time in the pool and going to a different restaurant every night. It was especially fun to get to watch the pelicans diving in the shallow water off the shore. The staff was extremely responsive and worked hard to make sure our every need was met.

I had a hard time finding a drink I liked. I am generally pretty easy to please with a strawberry daquiri or pina colada, but even these tried and true drinks were hard to drink. None of the fruit drinks had fresh fruit. If you like strong and plentiful drinks then you are set, but if you like quality cocktails this is not the place for you.

Location, privacy, view, friendly and helpful staff. The bar tenders Miguel and Daniel at the VIP tower lobby were extremely pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable.

The air conditioning had only 2 modes: ON and very cold, or OFF and therefore humid; no other setting worked and the staff could not reprogram it. The minibar, included, alcoholic beverages almost nonexistant and you had to call for refilling; the only choices were room service or going to the bar in the lobby. For an all inclusive VIP Club package, the selection off drinks was poor and bottom shelf; for better quality and selection you have to pay a high price extra. The taxy prices set by concierge are disputed by the drivers once in the car. The Italian restaurant Melanzane was rightfully criticized by all reviews and should be totally overhauled regarding the menu and service.

Family friendly, great staff especially the entertainment team, lots of options for activities, good coffee shop and fruit shake stand, VERY private and secluded beach, good gym, lots of options for beach huts and pool loungers, pool options, and more. if I had a lot of money i would come back here more often!

The main tower felt a bit outdated. The main tower elevator broke for a few hours. The gift shop was a bit too pricey (sandals for $54 usd)!

'Private' white sand beach. Guided kayak tour. Lovely spa. Great food and drinks in the Mexican restaurant. Fun entertainment nightly. Friendly and professional staff at every level. They always pulled together multiple tables quickly and easily to accommodate our larger group in the buffet restaurant. Club tower room had a great view with the bed facing the ocean. Quick 5 buck taxi ride back to the Romantic Zone of Puerto Vallarta for sightseeing.

We would have liked to have known in advance that the main palapa restaurant by the water was closed for renovations. But it was just a small disappointment and the other restaurants were good and included an Asian inspired one, which also by the water, so it all worked out fine.

Location was fantastic. The resort has a private beach, which was exactly what I was looking for. The beach is gorgeous and the hotel has a bar. Also all rooms are ocean front, so you will have a view regardless of which room you chose. Staff is very friendly. I went with my wife and my adult kids to celebrate my son's birthday. We did not want to stay near downtown in order to have the option to be in a quiet place and take a taxi or Uber to downtown. The food was good, as an all-inclusive, set your expectation properly. There are plenty of options - Italian, Mexican, American restaurants, so you will find always something to eat. The resort has a coffee shop, which was pretty handy as I still prefer an espresso or a latte in the morning. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were comfortable and the shower was excellent. Internet are good, although I did not use for video streaming or video conferences. Transportation: taxis are affordable, although I didn't like that they don't have meters, so ask the price before. Taxis from the hotel have standard rate, so that is a safe option. Uber is much cheaper though.

As mentioned earlier, the food was good, but as an all-inclusive resort, set your expectations. They have Italian, Mexican (probably my favorite), American food. They are good, but not the best you will find in Puerto Vallarta. If you have a chance, you can find great restaurants in town. In the room the AC can be a bit noisy, but did not take my sleep. It works fine though.

Best location in all of PV.,on it's own secluded,very scenic cove,and just 5 minutes maximum by cab to Old Town. Instead of a view of high-rise hotels(as one has at most Nuevo Vallarta hotels) here one looks at glorious Nature,rolling hills and achingly beautiful sunsets. The hotel has been here for 3 or 4 decades yet looks new. It has been kept up nicely.Nothing shabby or in need of repair.Everything works well.Huge rooms with ocean view.Delightful beds. I ended up staying at this hotel for 14 nights .The staff was consistently and uniformly respectful,outgoing and cheerful.

I ate 3 meals a day here. 14 days .Horrible food.I did not have one nutritional meal here-other than breakfasts.Salads used iceberg lettuce that appeared old.Vegetables overcooked. I think the problem was the chefs had little experience preparing food . The Mexican food was acceptable. Most dishes appeared to me to be frozen food slipped into the microwave.Although PV's Old Town has some good bakeries the deserts were dry and tasteless;bread was white and bland. Breakfast was good. I appreciated they had cappuccinos and lattes with soy as an option; oatmeal,and a very good selection of fresh fruits and juices-in addition to the usual offerings.Restaurant staff was very good,professional and prompt.

My bf and I stayed for the first time at ziva in PV for the first time and honestly we won’t stay anywhere else in our next trip to PV, we loved the facilities, the fact that the beach was private only for the hotel guests makes it awesome. we had a little issue with our room but a soon as we notified the reception it was taken care of. We ate at the casa grande (Mexican restaurant) and it was ok, since were were only there for 3 days we stick to blaze restaurant we did lunch and dinner for the next couple of days, so far the best restaurant. we love the beach and the service, Arturo was an amazing waiter at the beach and Antonio at the blaze restaurant. I can’t remember the rest of the names from the rest of the staff but all of them were super friendly and provided excellent service. if you go you have to tip them well they deserve it. we also tried their spa and we loved the facilities, we each got a package with a facial and a massage, they let us use the private pool, jacuzzi, steam and sauna, after they provide you with the service, it was a great way to end out stay at Hyatt.

Room with ocean view is breathtaking. there are so many free activities for both children and adults; Entertainment staff are awesome. Infinity swimming pools are nice. recommend crunchy sushi from Pureza, shrimp Ceviche or banana cheese Crepe (breakfast) from Blaze, corns in the little buffet section of Casa Glande, and Mozzarella Pizza & beef carpaccio from Manezane, Street food fish tacos are delicious too.

only one time the service in a restaurant was not pleasant, but they switched a waiter and he was very nice. Some dishes are not very delicious but for sure you can avoid.

Food was great and staff was very friendly the drinks were fantastic if you payed to be in the vip area . The had really good tequila and other really good bottles

There was no shade almost anywhere I feel like they need more places with shade like the pool areas and also I feel like they should also offer the cabana beds with the Price included like they do In crown paradise hotel

The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming! I loved the variety within the numerous restaurants and although there were a lot of people there...it never felt crowded. Most importantly, the resort is very clean!

Although there was some, I would have liked even more activities...both day time and in the evenings. The Italian restaurant was extremely hot, so be prepared. There were parts of the resort that weren't open, and that was a little disappointing, but it was still a wonderful resort and I highly recommend it.
