Hotel Casa Don Quijote

The bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever been in. Breakfast was great and staff were really friendly. Shower worked really well, clean room everyday, and bottles of water restocked daily.

Room was really dark and the bathroom was tiny. There was an older man who would hang out by the courtyard and smoke while people were eating breakfast which was super unpleasant. Also they only give you one room key even if you have multiple people in your room.

My mother and me really enjoyed the stay. Staff was friendly at first I did hesitate to book here due to the reviews. For the price it was excellent. Valet parking was available which they were really friendly all 3 of the guys who helped. The minute we arrived the offer us something to drink. They were willing to accommodate mom to the first floor. Is a 10 min walk to el centro, it felt safe and it was super quiet. Room was clean daily, I loved the coffee machine. Breakfast was good and staff was friendly all 5 days we were there. Anything we needed they provided. The TV they do need to turn on for you the first time. That was not an issue for me. I still had to work during my trip I would work at the court yard and internet was fast. My sister passed by to SMA and they were super friendly and helpful with her even though she was not a guest. My mom loved the hotel she did not want to leave. I was very happy with everything.

Breakfast was included, it was good for the most part. I really do not have anything bad to say about the property.

Good price to quality ratio. San Miguel is a bit overpriced when compared to most other Mexican cites and towns (Thanks to all the gringos who have driven prices up for almost everything!). But this hotel is at least somewhat closer to what a normal price should be. Very clean and comfortable rooms. The included breakfast was just average, but acceptable. The staff was very friendly. I would stay here again. The only issue was when one of the staff arranged for a ride to the airport. We were told the car would arrive in about 15 minutes. My daughter and I sat in the lobby for over an hour. We finally gave up and found alternate transportation. Very annoying, but that hitch was really the only negative I can think of.

Room was spacious and very clean. They had breakfast buffet included which was basic but very delicious. Beds were comfortable and roof had A/C. Small hotel with easy access to the street. At 11 pm they close the main metal bars gate door so it was safe at night. Will go back soon and probably will stay at this same place.

Like in a lot of hotels in Mexico there is a sewage smell in the bathroom that starts every night and comes from the old plumbing. But many other hotels in Mexico have the same issue (I noted it in hotels in Mexico City too). But overall this hotel is a great property and good value.

Part of the price was breakfast, parking and the staff was exceptional. Breakfast was fresh and made to order. They had one day as a buffet but they had several options available. The room was always made and ready when we returned from our daily outings.

Although breakfast was great the eating area was Al fresco (outside patio). Most days was not a problem because they had outdoor heaters but they ran out of gas and one morning was exceptionally cool.

The staff was very nice and always available. The room was very clean. The mini-split (a/c and heat) had an inherent problem, it kept showing an error sign after being on for a few minutes. It made the room stay a bit too cold. Otherwise it was a very comfortable bed and a large comfortable room.

The breakfast was good. We didn't use every day but most days and it was a buffet a couple of days and a made to order the other days.

This was a very cute place that simply met all my needs. It was in a good location, about a 10 minute walk from the very center of town. The staff was helpful and friendly, especially when I found out I had booked for the wrong dates! The room wasn't huge, but it was a decent size and very comfortable, and it was always kept very clean. The breakfast was simple but for an included breakfast, it was good. This was just an all-around great place to stay for a week while I visited San Miguel de Allende. I highly recommend it!

I was very impressed with the hotel itself, and my room(the blue room)was perfect.I just loved every detail, very clean,comfortable bed,nice bathroom everything was in order.

I could not say nothing bad...all..was perfect, from the time I checked in with Marisela, which by the way,she was very friendly and professional..very nice lady. She made sure my accomodations were perfect and in place.

The room was beautiful, and the bed was super comfortable. The AC was a plus. Loved the Nespresso for mornings, as well. Best part of this hotel, though, is the staff. They are a group of warm, helpful, and friendly people - from the concierge to the housekeepers - who genuinely care that you're getting what you need. Be prepared that not everyone who works here speaks even a little English. Obviously that was on me, as I was in their country. But, even with that difficulty, they went above and beyond to help me however they could. Oh, and the location! The hotel is in a quiet part of San Miguel that is about a 2 minute walk from all the excitement. Perfect.

It seemed like I could hear *everything* from my room, so in the mornings, especially, I was often woken by the sounds of conversations that sounded like they were right outside my room. My last morning was the day after la dia de independencia (!viva la Mexico!), and at around 7am some dudes were singing what I believe is the national anthem *really, really* loudly. So, that was fun when I just wanted to sleep in.
