Sheraton Astana Hotel

The hotel is centrally located and within walking distance from all key attractions and government offices. It looks very new and fresh. Service is great. Rooms are standard good size for a modern 5* tower property. The Michelin-starred Salter's steak house is outstanding by every measure and highly recommended in its own right.

The kitchen at the main restaurant - Emiliya - is a real disaster. We have tried it for dinner, breakfast and in-room dining. The breakfast was fine, but the dinner and the in-room dining were arguably the worst food we had in a 5* hotel for many years of travel. Okroska (well known Russian cold soup) was not eatable, and other dishes were cooked in a way it is done in student canteens. The menu at Emiliya is also quite odd for a property of this caliber. In short, try to avoid this F&B outlet or the in-room dining. The other problem is narrow bath tubs. There is no separate shower cubicle, so taking a shower is such a confined space was uncomfortable. This is a room design issue, so cannot be fixed.

We loved every minute of our stay. It was a very special occasion for us, our first wedding anniversary and all the staff were very attentive. A very touching welcoming gift was very much appriciated when we arrived in our very comfortable and well equiped bedroom . We loved the view over snowy Astana. Dinner at Salter's was unforgettable and breakfast at Emilya's unbelievable. We will definitly come back, need to try the SPA!

This wasn't my first stay in this hotel. - All of us, who travel for business purposes, do know, that the standard of international hotel chains is quite comparable across the world. However, what does make a difference, is the hotel team. And this Sheraton team is really exceptional here in Astana. The guys remember you, some even by name, and help wherever they can. It is exactly this hotel team, that makes me returning to this place again an again without risking some different place. - Thanks for the enjoyable, pleasant stay!

The hospitality was well good! Thx everyone from staff who helped us during our stay. Our stay didn't include breakfast. We didn't have time for breakfast cause we had a photo/video session during the whole morning time.

Welcome drink and cakes are a good idea, but I'm not drinking in order religious reasons. I think you should ask guests next time beforehand. Anyway, everything else was perfect! Unfortunately, we didn't have a shift to go to SPA, in case we had our two weddings between these two days, but I hope we will have a chance to try it next time. The extra price for a photo/video session must be less.

Friendly responsive staff especially concierge, reception, bell boys (!!) and in room dining and lobby bar. Nice swimming pool, heated floor in bathroom.

Crowded breakfast, lack of yoghurt, some staff not really helpful. Bed a bit too hard, curtains do not enable blackout which is especially difficult when the room is facing the east.

Our stay was amazing - the hotel is very new, lobby and restaurant have very high quality food which was reasonably priced. Most importantly it was staff that made the difference - they were very polite and helpful, very professional. I was leaving earlier than my mother who is a senior and they helped her to check out and call a cab. Breakfast is also great. I was in different Sheraton hotels around the world and this hotel was the best! I will be definitely coming back!

very good service and friendly personnel, excellent spa facilities, perfect location. everything is new and in great condition. in room dining was excellent, breakfasts were good and waiters there were extremely nice and friendly. overall, great value for their prices.

1. just one time I found the used mask with a lipstick on it, which wasn’t mine, under the sofa, but they quickly cleaned the room once I addressed to the reception. 2. just a suggestion: I had my massage and the face hole of the massage table was a little narrow so it was uncomfortable to lay down as it rested into my throat. otherwise the massage itself was great! 3. I lost a pair of my socks and 1 piece I’d underwear, which is weird, but I don’t think I could lose it anywhere else. 4. I had several pieces of paper with my notes, which were thrown away along with receipts, which I needed, but it’s not a huge deal.

The breakfast was very tasty and made it possible to make healthy choices. (I'm talking about dining in the Club) The Club also had very nice staff - Marina, Olzas, Jekaterina and Ainu The location of the hotel is very good - in the center.

The staff is very kind and accommodating. The rooms were very comfortable and the hotel is walking distance from restaurants, shopping, etc. The pool was very nice as well.

perfect location. hospitality and very helpful staff. They're all professional. breakfast is exceptional. room is stylish, modern and very comfortable. spa, swimming pool and jacuzzi is very relaxing and spacious. Don't want to leave.
