Wakayama Urban Hotel

We had an amazing and awesome experience at Wakayama Urban Hotel. First and foremost, the staff at the front desk were very kind and professional - top notch. The hotel feel was very luxurious. The room size was good. Another bonus - the hotel is only 5 min walk to a decent-size supermarket. Breakfast was served on a second floor. We found our breakfast time was super relaxing - probably the music they played, the luxurious setting, or the open view to the lobby we don't know...- just simply incredible!!!

Conveniently located a short walk from the JR station. Quiet stay with all basic necessities included. Reception was helpful in keeping our luggage before check in and after for a few hours. It looked like a popular spot for people on business travels and the free buffet style breakfast was decent.

Even though check in time stated was up to midnight, staff had no complaints when we checked in after midnight due to a delayed flight. They also allowed us to leave our luggage with them after checking out as we were going away for a day before coming back to Wakayama again. Staff serving breakfast were friendly and nice. Location was great, only 3 mins walk from station.

Only 1 pillow per bed. I hoped to have 1 more 😂

The location is very good, 3 minutes walk from JR station. It'svery closed to a big supermarket where there is a lot of nice food. Breakfast is nice and it's a good bonus for travellers. The cost of the rooms is reasonable.

We didnt specify it clearly and the room is for smokers. The bed is a bit small for two people because it's a double bed not queen size.

Very close to Wakayama JR station. The staff was very polite and the room was massive actually. I was so surprised by how large the room was and I booked a standard one. Clean and spacious. They provide pajamas and toiletries as well as a kettle.

Despite being on the top floor there was no window in my room unfortunately so there was no view.

Near the hotel, although a word of advice would be to go out from the central gate of Wakayama Station, turn right and take the elevator down to rhetorical basement, go through the underpass and take the lift up on the east side to get to the hotel. Serves a good breakfast. Rooms were big and beds were very comfortable!

Not staying here for many more nights!

Great location near the station and my kids loved the buffet style breakfast and the drink station and the Smart TV

The room was in the "smoking area" (my fault as I booked late and it was a busy long weekend) but it did smell like smoke which was a bit disappointing with my kids there but overall nice clean hotel and good value for money

Spacious room! I got the city view and it was gorgeous. Very pretty lobby with very helpful and kind front desk staff. Decent breakfast, very sweet kitchen staff. I got a smoking room as it was cheaper, barely smelled at all! Location is 5 minutes away from the train station. And around a 30 minute straight walk to Wakayama Castle. Minutes away from a 7-11 as well!

Room booked for one night, 8th floor. Clean hotel room for two people, 2 double beds (each approx 120 cm wide), bathroom, separate toilet and amenities. Limited view from hotel room. It was exactly as it looked in the photos. Good complimentary japanese breakfast buffet. Buffet staff are very friendly. Close to the trainstation, restaurants and shops. Car parking is situated opposite to the hotel 1000 Yen/24 hour rate.
