Comfort Inn Tokyo Roppongi

Location to what we needed was great, staff was helpful & friendly, that breakfast was good & reasonable- I had my family of 4 & we had the bigger room It was perfect & was big enough for all of us to be comfortable

-proximity to train station -has free microwave to use, free ice vendo 24/7, free coffee/tea/hot water at the lobby

-only 1 staff that can really uuderstand and speak English. Most of the staff depend on a pocket translator even for simple questions/ instructions -staff not helpful when asked for help to book for dinner at a local restaurant. I thought it would have been a lot easier if they can speak and book for us (while we were there beside them) just in case there were communication issues over the phone. I even told them that in the restaurant’s website, they encourage hotel staff to help w/ bookings. I also tried to do it online but it was asking me for a Japan mobile number which I didn’t have as I only rented a portable wifi. -metro Tokyo hotels are small but becomes even smaller when booking a Twin room

The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The location is exceptionally good and so is the value for money, and the staff are super friendly and helpful. The entire hotel is quiet, and they were also able to fulfil our request for rooms close together. This hotel does provide room-making service every night unlike some other hotels, and you can also request to change your sheets every night if you wish to do so. The bathroom is pretty big as well, and very clean.

The actual room is a little small and it is difficult to open my suitcase, but nothing out of the ordinary for a Tokyo hotel room.

The room size is bigger than the usual rooms in tokyo. The location of the hotel is also great since it’s on the main street, so it’s not hard to drag luggages towards the hotel. The staff are also nice and tries their best to communicate with the guests. At one point, the brought out a pocket translator just to make the conversation work better.

The wifi speed is not consistent and at times quite slow. I had to depend on my pocket wifi several times. Though the rooms were big, i think it would help if they make it more soundproof. In the morning, you can hear footsteps from guests walking on the floor above. Also, the checkout time is 10am, which is earlier than the standard 11am in the other hotels we stayed in in tokyo.

We asked for a sewing kit which was listed as available but there wasn’t one , when we explained it was actually a scissors we needed from it , we were told we could only use one in front of the reception desk ?? ( seriously trim a mustache at reception!!!)

Super friendly staff, especially Johannes was very helpful. Tea and Coffee facilities in the lobby are great but it would be nice if they would be open 24/7. Hotel is very close to Roppongi Station with Oedo Line and Hibiya Line connections. Rooms are larger than comparable rooms in Tokyo, very spacious. FamilyMart and 7/11 convenience stores are a short stones throw away, if you need anything. In-house Thai restaurant is great and authentic with Thai staff and chef.

It would be good if the windows could be opened, even though traffic might be more audible then. Light switch isn't by the door, but on the nightstand. Kind of stupid as you have to find your way to it in darkness when coming back at night.

Our first stop in Japan and we were prepared for small rooms and beds - but we didn't really feel it in this hotel! Easy check-in process (super-helpful English-speaking staff, despite my attempt at broken Japanese), complimentary toiletries and pajamas (which we then found out to be the norm across Japan), comfy bed, nice bath, strong shower, enough space for belongings around the bed, useful table, could barely hear anything outside, really close to the metro with good connections, option to leave bags, close to Family Mart and bars/restaurants in Roppongi. I'd stay here again if in the area!

The room was very big and comfortable. Bathroom was also very big with a lot of space to orginize stuff. There was a big desk in the room wich was also convinient for us and a closet. Plenty of room for our luggage. We had a 2 bed room and the beds were also big and comfortable. The hotel is located really close to a metro station so traveling was very easy. There is a free water bar where you can fill your water bottle and make tea and coffie.

The rooms were clean and nice. The staff were very friendly, and there was always someone at the concierge. They always listen carefully to what you tell them and try their best to get what you want.

There was only one laundry machine for the entire hotel, so it was a bit hard to get the laundry done when you really needed to. And its not the hotel's fault, but there were people that would come get their finished laundry very late, making the next person wait for a long time.
