Vessel Hotel Campana Okinawa

Pros: Location is great, everything is accessible and is central to nice restaurants in the area. Hotel is close to the beach. The breakfast buffet is quite heavenly. It is easily the best breakfast I’ve had in Japan. Everyday, they had my favorites- stewed pork, pork rib cutlet, miso soup, mango juice, a full dessert bar, ice cream, a sushi bar, a taco rice bar and everything you ever need to start your day in the island. We only brought backpacks to Japan so I had todo the laundry everyday and they had several washer and dryers for the guests. While my clothes are drying, I would go take a bath and dip into the women’s onsen that with varied temperatures "warm, warmer and cold". It was a great way to end my day.

Cons: The room price is hefty. The room size is small for the price but I guess I was paying for all the wonderful amenities. You have to let the front desk know if you need your room cleaned which is a bit strange given the amount paid to the hotel. There is no free hotel shuttle to/from the airport and the airport limousine bus doesn’t pick up passengers to the airport until 8:56 am which was not helpful for our 10:25 am flight. Uber/taxi is widely available though. There is a price to pay for their pool.

The hotel location is right at American Village so it is very convenient for shopping and dinning. There is lawson at the hotel so you can easily purchase snack. The hotel is kids friendly, kids tooth brush provided. The hotel breakfast is good. Serve nice Okinawa food , kids breakfast area and also blue seal ice cream. We enjoyed the breakfast alot. Kids plate, bowl, spoon and fork provided. Wet wipe and tissue too. Good place for family to chill. Now it is the Christmas season so there are Christmas Decoration everywhere ,feel like a Christmas town!

The hotel charged for early check in , 1000 yen for every hour. We booked a suite for 5 pax. 2 queen bed and a single bed. We stated 5 pax when booking, include breakfast too..but the hotel charge us 1000yen for additional breakfast.3 bed means 3 breakfast. Kids 5 and below enjoy breakfast free. Adult breakfast is 2000 yen, kids 1000yen.

We stayed in a junior suite that faced the water and had the most spectacular sunsets at night. I think it would be a very hot room in the high of summer, but that’s what A/C is for! The room we had was very spacious, the two beds were queens and the bathtub with a view was to die for! The buffet bfast was worth the 20,000 yen, as it had loads of variety. The location of this hotel is the best, right on the promenade, with good food choices galore all around you. The hotel rents out bikes for free ( first two hours ) and there is a long bike/ walking path along the water in both directions. We went whale watching while here and would recommend doing that in season. Parasailing from boats is a short walk away and tubing behind a jet ski is also available in the area. We should have rented a car but we forgot to get an international drivers license before we left home.

Everything was fabulous. If I had to be picky, I’d say outdoor furniture for the balcony would have been nice. We just dragged the indoor stuff in and out everyday.

The beach was closed, a heads up would have been appreciated. We had to pay extra for the rooftop pool. There was a wig behind the couch.

Public bath (hot spring) is good, hotel provides baby bath items such as baby soup & baby bath. no additional charge for hot spring. Breakfast and Location is perfect. Hotel location is just at the corner of American Village. You can get discount at dinner restaurants at many many restaurants around hotel. Recommend dining at the steak biffy restaurant near hotel.

The pool has additional fee and it can not be used after check out.

The staff were very kind, the pool and onsen were good, though you have to pay extra for the pool and it is quite expensive. The location was excellent, right next to the promenade, shops, cafes, and restaurants.

The beach was under construction, I was not informed of this when I booked, they also charged me extra for a the 'beach view' which was actually a view of the construction - very disappointing, if anything I should have been offered a discount for the noise, horrible view and the fact that I could not use the beach.

The bath and its view is superb! The changing room is extremely spacious so you don’t have to change right in front of strangers. The breakfast was definitely the best I’ve ever had. There were a lot of traditional Okinawa dishes and everything was labeled clearly. There are plenty of parking spots for free which is a bonus if you were driving. The room is also nice. Everything was perfect!

I loved that this property is in American village because when there were times that weather was bad, there were a variety of food options within a two minute walk or less. I also appreciated the fresh towel/mineral water in a cute tote bag outside my door every morning. I don’t usually ask for my room to be cleaned every day that I’m in a hotel but it was nice the hotel provided that without having to go into my room. The room was nice and clean and the staff were so friendly.

For a high end hotel, toilet paper do be rough on the rear lol.

I really recommend this hotel. I came there with my 4 years old child. The room was very big and clean. The view very nice. Close to the beach and American Villedge. Swimming pool (you need to pay). Free onsen. On 1st floor there is Lawson.

Swimming pool should be heater. At least one. There is two swimming pools and jacuzzi. Jacuzzi was warm but we paid for it and we couldn't use swimming pool because it was too cold.

Well, you get the room you paid for. Great view, nice facilities, very comfortable... you almost want it to be your personal room! We got extra towels without asking. The location is just amazing, with lots to see and eat around!

Only downside was the humidity in the bathroom. However, there was an extra dehumidifier in the room!
