Hibiscus Lodge Hotel

Seaside room with a spectacular view, a big terrace, very relaxing. The rooms are big and well equipped, the restaurant and bar very chill, the location is right in the middle of Ocho Rios so a nice place to stay if you want to discover Ocho Rios by walking. Public taxis are also there when you get out of the hotel.

It’s a bit loud at night from the neighborhood and the breakfast can take a little long.

Location was great, rooms clean and staff very attentive. Breakfast was a great start every morning. Really happy with our stay.

Beds were a bit hard.

I liked the location, views from the room and the included breakfast. We were able to travel from Kingston to Ocho Rios by bus and then a short taxi trip to the hotel in which another traveller was heading to as well. The Almond Tree restaurant was where we had our dinners which we enjoyed. The waiters/waitresses were kind and helpful. Overall, the stay was of great value and good for being a non all inclusive.

The wifi from our room was spotty so we had to go outside to the pool area where it worked really well. Also, there isn't direct beach access but there is a deck which you can swim from.

Healthy breakfast options thoughtfully assembled. The traditional Jamaican breakfast was the best we had on island. Bar food and happy hour also good. The ocean view from our room was fantastic, although I wouldn't have minded a view of the pool (also great)!

On our true balcony were a fair number of mosquitos, and I would have liked more information on what is or is not currently available (attraction/excursion wise) as well as advice about nearby essential goods.

The balconies, bar and restaurant over look the ocean providing the most amazing views to start your day. The breakfast is great, lots of choice and all the in house bakery items were delicious. The restaurant food was generally really nice and good value for money. The hotel is in a good location for attractions and staff were happy to help arrange private taxis where needed. Tony (the owner), the cleaners and some of the bar/waiting staff were really friendly and made the stay more enjoyable. The beds were small doubles but very comfortable.

There were a handful of staff members who were particularly abrupt and unwelcoming. If you require an early breakfast due to an early check out, you need to make a request the night before and make sure your requirement is extremely clear. We were nearly not given breakfast, despite giving days notice. The room can get a little cold but blankets were available on request. The hotel is in a great location to get to all the attractions, however it is right in the centre and unfortunately there is a noisy club. We slept with earplugs our entire stay and would’ve been lost without them. Tea and coffee/hairdryer shouldn’t be a luxury add on for the rooms. Lastly, a first aid kit/consideration into a lifeguard wouldn’t go a miss.

Lovely hotel great views felt like a breath of fresh air it and somewhere we would love to one day to return to. The almond tree restaurant located inside the hotel served really good food great dining area.some wonderful memories thank you made a personal touch. It felt like a family atmosphere between the staff servers and guests from the start.it was a thrill to be in the Caribbean anyway and even more when we came to the hibiscus lodge in ochi Rios we were blessed with this impromptu booking I had no idea where we were heading but I am so glad the views from the room the excellent service the peacefulness there all made for a very pleasant stay in what we know of Ochi Rios s as a busy bustling lovely town with many attractions.mahogony beach is just round the corner . I and my family felt we could unwind relax and take time to spend family time together that felt really important to us.The sea is at the foot of the hotel and it is a lovely swimming area.i was surprised to remember that I had visited hibiscus as a day guest many years ago. It's charm and old world feel in a modern time helped to slow our time down in Jamaica and helped us to realise where we were and to take in the full enormously helpful and important time this vacation presented us with.a thank you to all that helped us to be there while we were in Jamaica.

Good room good location friendly atmosphere,nice surrounding great sea view.relaxed and holiday break feel to the stay. Professional staff greeted us. Just a good place to stay over all. I couldn't have anything negative to say about here.lovely break for me and my son.the unbroken views of the sea really lovely not just a great wedding destination ,but I'd you have the time check this place out. Good decide Nd much attention to detail in the grounds. The gardens are great especially to explore also there's many things activities you can do.ita easy to get to the water the sea by the long winding steps.also I think a very romantic location.its old world charm carried through with the interior and exterior fittings.so much attention to detail.its really something special thank you for this stay.

Can't think of anything so far.it was a break from the hustle and

the property is beautiful with views for days all staff are hard working and maintaining is done on a daily basis.. breakfast and food was good very nice to have traditional Jamaican dishes please add cornmeal porridge to the menu..😁 overall a nice peaceful stay.. right near everything but not in the mix of the busy night life.. yes you can here it but that never disrupted my sleep.

tea or coffee isn’t a luxury so that shouldn’t be only available in upgraded rooms.. it’s not hard to have cups and a kettle in every room, that was a shame about the hotel but apart from that 👌🏽

A very charming, oceanfront hotel which has a wonderful restaurant and an even better bar with amazing views. We really loved to drink an ice cold Red Strip beer in the bar served by the amazing bartender, Nevardo. I especially want to thank him for making our stay so wonderful and we really loved his 70's & 80's funky and soul (background) music. It made me feel young again! :) The hotel is pretty close to Mystic Mountain, a must visit when you are in Ocho Rios.

The bathroom is a bit small, insufficient ammount of toiletries, however the shower is good. There's a discotheque close to the hotel with very, very loud music untill 04:00am daily which might give you restless nights. The discotheque doesn't belong to the hotel but is somewhere close to it. But if you like terrible music and a screaming DJ you might enjoy... :)

Hibiscus is a very nice facility, our go to place in Ocho Rios. You can't beat the location and views from all over the property.

We usually stay in the small suite bit it was not available. Our room was described by the check in clerk as "lower standard". The room itself was nice, plenty of space and room to hang clothes, drawers , nice patio. However the bathroom had one tiny bar of soap, no shampoo, lotion or wash cloths. When I called for wash cloths I was told that room does not come with that amenity but if I wanted they could bring some to the room. I asked for them and then had to call a second to time. That surprised me based on my past stays.i reported my disappointment to the front desk at check out but didn't get the impression that any changes would occur.
