Hotel Campo Marzio

Location - right downtown! Staff was great! Breakfast was good Beds were comfortable.

-Pillows were a bit thin -Terribly difficult to get cool in the room. -This isn’t the hotel’s fault- but the walk to the restaurants and stores in the evening is peppered with folks down on their luck, some polite. But others seem drugged out and VERY aggressive in their requests for euro. We were cussed twice for not giving enough euro, when asked. So, just be aware of your surroundings if you go out late and be prepared as the area around is a hang out for young adults. Not that they are doing anything wrong, it’s just groups of kids, mixed with panhandlers and maybe a few drug addicts. Again- not the fault of the hotel. And only when night falls.

Vincenza is the perfect place to get away from the hordes of tourists you find in Verona or Venice. It’s a beautiful little town with its Palladian buildings and lots to see as well as great restaurants and shopping. The hotel is perfectly located, just a 5-minute walk from the train station and a short walk into the town. We had a fantastic room and breakfast was fabulous. The staff were super friendly too. Vincenza is on the main train line between Venice and Verona and definitely worth a stop. We look forward to coming back!

The location is a 5-minute walk from the railway station and overlooks a grassy park just outside the old city walls. The room was spacious and burst with natural light coming in through the French windows . A very relaxing atmosphere. The furniture was a cut above standard hotel accessories and included two comfy winged armchairs and a large comfortable bed. The sense of space was continued in the bathroom which contained both shower and bath. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfasts oiffered a wide choice of good quality produce and service was brisk and polite. This hotel is a great base for discovering the delights of Vicenza which is a relatively under-explored part of Italy between Milan and Venice. It is a modest little gem, as is the Campo Marzio and I look forward to returning to both of them.

The hotel is right outside the ancient city gates, so it's a short walk to the main street with shops, Palladian architectural sights, lovely piazzas and great restaurants. Extraordinarily pleasant staff, friendly, helpful and responsive. The hotel was immaculately clean, altogether a tight ship, but at the same time relaxed and welcoming. The hotel is probably quite old but has been completely updated, with the result that the rooms are large but fully modernized. There may be a better hotel in Vicenza, but I wouldn't bother looking for it.

For us, the bed was too hard in typically Italian style. But when I mentioned the problem to the front desk, the management immediately supplied a fluffy duvet to tuck under the sheets, which made the mattress much softer. Our other complaint was that although there was adequate "furniture," there were no drawers or shelves, so we could not really unpack. This seems to be a trend in updated Italian hotels since we ran into the same problem in Venice.

Lovely hotel...excellent breakfast. I love the large room, the comfy bed, the great shower...the breakfast is excellent...I so enjoyed the breakfast! The hotel furnishings are modern and antique, the easy train access,....quite eclectic. So CLEAN! the comfort, the style, the cleanliness, the kind staff...you cannot find better.

That I had to leave!!! I wish I could have stayed another week! I was here in 2018 when renovations started and I must say, the finished result is so excellent!

Great location. Walking access to transportation, sight seeing, restaurants, and groceries. Excellent and helpful staff. Amazing breakfast buffet. I would stay there again. I speak English and it wasn't a barrier to the quality of service I received. This is a convenient location for those visiting soldiers based here. My soldier felt very comfortable that I was safe and also relieved that I was located so conveniently to explore on my own as well.

Room was comfortable and spacious. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Easy access to city center. The AC worked very well to cool the room at night. Very close to the train station. Gated (but not fenced) parking directly in front of the hotel. Pet friendly.

Odd multi-colored lighting in the shower. The area directly outside of the hotel did not feel comfortable at night, with multiple people asking us for food or money while trying to walk the dog.

Hotel located at the end of Via Palladio, right at the entrance to the Old Town. Very good room 310, with a living room and a separate bedroom space. Spacious bathroom with good facilities, including flashing colored lights. Private parking right in front of the hotel for 9 euro\/day. Very good breakfast, with a varied offer and impeccable service, the plates were filled again when they reached halfway.

Wi-fi signal could have been better

Spacious room with large bathroom. Location within 10 minutes walk from train station and breakfast is good. Very comfortable stay.

No electric water kettle in room. The receptionist told us if there isn’t one in the room, we can rent one for €5. When we asked to rent one, he increased the price to €8. Not an honest deal.

Excellent location between railway station and old town. Spacious clean well equipped room. Special thanks to Massimo for restaurant recommendations in town.

On arrival a receptionist told us straight away check in is at 2pm and directed us to luggage storage (he didn't make an attempt to check if the room was perhaps ready. Not a 4star hotel welcome). The outside pavement had pits and missing paving stones and some parts of building miss plaster work, which creates a little sad look of this 4 star property. Check in / out process was very paper driven and felt a little chaotic. It would be fine in a tourist class hotel of lower category.
