Hotel Do Pozzi

Amazing location. Close to St Marks Square, Vaporetto stop (Giglio), lovely shopping street and restaurants. Nice courtyard entrance.

Triple room small for 3 people, but comfortable enough for 2 night stay.

We have stayed at the Do Pozzi before and the upgrades were new to us. Our room was comfortable and incredibly clean. The staff is lovely, very helpful and kind. The new breakfast menu is wonderful. All manor of food available. The food was the appropriate temperature and fresh coffee, tea, or hot chocolate a great way to start the day. We so appreciated all the new touches as well as the lovely outside areas to sit and enjoy. The location is perfect for us, being between San Stephano and San Marco. We wouldn't hesitate to book the hotel again.

The location was the best point! The hotel is comfortable, the room is large, the breakfast (paid extra) was also great! I can say that the hotel met our expectations and for those looking to be close to "big brand" stores, the location is perfect!

We only had one discomfort in the bathroom, the shower stall cannot protect the bath water, and it ends up spreading throughout the bathroom, I had to dry the entire bathroom to avoid leaving it all flooded. This didn't affect our short stay, but I imagine that if it had been a reservation for many days, it would possibly upset me a lot.

The breakfast was good- clean, fresh with adequate choices. Excellent coffee choices too. Staff was very friendly and professional. Great location- the hotel is close to every major attractions - Saint Mark’s square, Rialto bridge , and the water taxi stops etc. are all within walking distance .

I / we liked pretty much everything, the only minor problem we had was our shower didn’t drain very well. When showering, You have to shut the water off then turn it back on to prevent water from pooling in the shower . Other than that, everything else worked perfectly

Great location, it was only a few mi it’s to walk to plaza San Marco but a bit away from the mad busy streets, it was easy to find much quieter area nearby and also very close to Giglio vaporetto stop. Room was lovely, street below a bit noisy but we had good ear plugs and slept very well. Breakfast was fab - we really enjoyed it, great selection and really good value.

The hotel is being renovated at present so they are putting in the new lift which is good - it was hard to get the cases up the stairs! Some public areas are looking a bit rough at the moment but it is clear they are working on it.

The property was very clean. Location is good and near vaporetto (waterbus) and alilaguna (airport waterbus) stops. Lady receptionist was very friendly and helped with airport waterbus information. They allowed us to leave luggage before check in and after check in which is very convenient.

I didn’t like that you have to hold the shower head while you shower as there is no slot to put it on. It is very difficult to shower. The glass on the shower to keep water spilling everywhere is useless. They really need to sort this shower head holder issue. The lift is also not working and we had to carry luggages to the 3rd floor.

The property was situated in a an ideal location, close to all the major sight seeing locations. The staff were very accommodating and always trying to help. The hotel is going through some refurbishment and you can see what their long term goal will be. We was able to use four bedrooms on our 3 day break and the rooms were all different. Plenty of choice for breakfast, which sets you up for the day.

As stated in the plus points, we had 4 different rooms on our stay, Room 1, the toilet cistern broke and we could flush the toilet. We was told we could use another room (room 2), for one night only until it was repaired. The maintenance man was still working on our original room and stated that he could only do a temporary repair. 3.00am the noise from the cistern (banging) was unbearable. We addressed the night receptionist and he moved us to another room (room 3) but explained that he couldn’t give us any compensation as we booked it via booking.com. But we had to vacate that room as it was booked out the next day. Final night (room 4) we was given a new room and it was excellent, good sleep and a larger room.

The best aspect of this hotel is its location in Venice and the price. The price was quite reasonable given its location in Venice. The staff were quite polite and helpful. The breakfast was enjoyable, with many options. I have stayed at the hotel before and it would be my first choice for a stay in Venice - great combination of location and price.

The hotel needs a bit of a "face-lift", which seemed to be ongoing. The breakfast area was small, often making it difficult to get the food and bring it your table (very minor issue).

The location was great, right on the corner of luxury boutique shops like Chanel The staff was friendly Our room was ready at 10 am, though check-in time is at 2 pm The room was clean, spacious The bathroom was big enough with a bathtub, hot water was immediate. The air conditioning worked perfectly

The location was great as you could easily access everything, and the staff were very helpful when we required information, or required assistance with anything. Also having breakfast included every morning meant we got to start the day leisurely with a great breakfast and an awesome cappuccino. Would definitely stay there again.

The bathroom was missing a few things, such as a soap holder in the shower area, a proper toilet roll holder and hooks to hang your clothes on.
