This is a wonderful hotel at the quiet end of Ortigia, a few minutes walk to a couple of swimming locations, at most 10 minutes to the fort by foot, and perhaps 10 minutes to the Archimedes Piazza where most of the shopping starts from. The room/apartment was beautifully finished in a kind of minimal european 50's decor, breakfasts were great, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful at all times. We really could not have wanted for more.

Honestly, there was nothing that we were unsatisfied with. Great hotel and great team.

Location is within walking distance of all attractions in Ortigia.

Booking was a bit "stressful" in that we were informed check in could only happen at certain times and we were required to fill out a rather extensive online check in form (which, in all fairness, we ignored...). The parking situation is actually quite simple: there isn't any. I wish they told us this before we drove there and spent 20mins driving around to figure that out. It's not their fault there isn't parking, I just wish they would have told us and save us time.

It's very clean in a fantastic location, the staff are extremely friendly and the little kitchen is very handy.

The price is a tad high, and our ground floor apartment was rather noisy until late in the evening due to people passing in the street right next to the windows. The biggest drawback was the bed, which was advertised as a double, but was really two singles next to each other, which meant constantly rearranging the mattresses and was really annoying.

The rooms are big and well designed, it's modern, and right in the middle of Syracuse Ortigia, the location is spectacular. The bathroom was really spacious with a big shower, we had a comfy armchair in the room as well. The staff on-site was helpful and kind and helped us throughout our stay. Breakfast was served in the room, we ate it on the table right in front of our balcony with the sun coming in, it was such a lovely experience.

I would have liked more practical and bigger storage furniture for clothes it happen to me before that boutique hotels are also quite minimal and sometimes the space is limited

Re Federico is a hidden gem. Tucked away behind the bustling streets of Ortigia, it is an oasis of stylish charm and understated luxury. Beautifully appointed and equipped, it is only 50m from the sea. Walk the island, enjoy a swim in the sea and then an aperol at the hotel’s street side cafe or even better on its roof terrace before setting out for dinner.

Hotel is very central close to all shops / restaurants. It has a beautiful finish and very clean. We parked at the open air parking close to Spiaggia del porto (costs €15 for 24hrs parking). It's around 12minute walk to the hotel (which is in the inner part of Ortigia) but lots of things to see on the way + we only had 2 small bags.

Loved the location. Cafe downstairs had good coffee and pastries. One of the best swimming spots in Ortygia is a block away. Staff were helpful.

The bed was ok, not great. The room had high ceilings, which was great, but also some dark spots that suggested mold, which wasn't great. Breakfast not included.

the location within ortigia was ideal for a week city break holiday. special mention to Beatrice on reception who was so happy to help us. and a special mention to Anna who prepared our excellent breakfast and is so warm and friendly.

the location may not suit those looking for a beach holiday but there are nice beaches a short drive away.

Driving is a little difficult around there but the valet park he was well worth asking for

Fantastic location, right near the swimming platform and the quieter part of the old town. Great staff and a generous and delicious breakfast on the rooftop terrace. Spacious and stylish room and having a lift was helpful.

It was great, overall.
