The boutique style, friends staff who spent time to give me local recommendations, lots of character and history, great location, and very clean.

While the owners provided instructions, I found it hard to find the gate to drop luggage before parking. Maps directed me to a no access point. I’d recommend checking in with the owners before you arrive to clarify, or to just bring your essentials with you if you’re just staying one night.

The host is great and knows a lot about everything around. She has great tips. The palace is great, room is huge and the bed super comfortable. The bathroom is very small, but it is functional and somehow expected in a historical place (not much can be added/renovated).

Amazing location, lovely staff, rooms are comfortable and spacious, great castle with an amazing courtyard.

A mosquito net during the summer would have made the stay slightly better as there were a couple of mosquitos in the room during the night, although it was barely noticeable and still extremely nice.

mostly truly antique rooms and furnishing; the real palazzo, with cosy courtyard. the location is in the heart of the medieval town. the host is very knowledgeable and will share detailed information. the experience is well worth it.

the bathroom is very tiny, due to historical preservation restrictions.

If I could only give ten stars to this place. Living in 1200 year palazzo is a truly unique ´money can’t buy experience.´ The staff is extremely welcoming and professional with the unique approach to each customer. Can’t wait to be back.

Electricity was funny but it is understandable in such an old establishment.

Perfect location in town, near everything. My room was very quiet, comfortable and had all that I needed. This medieval building is fantastic and charming. A superb place to stay when you are in this old town. The landlady was kind and helpful.

Great location, lovely old style room. Very helpful staff. The tiny shower in the tiny bathroom worked surprisingly well.

No breakfast but there’s no shortage of lovely places nearby anyways.

Beautiful place, staying in a (thirteenth century?) old familypalace, city centre. Very nice host. Note: You need to make an appointment for checking in via Whats App.

Nothing to complain. Breakfast is available next door. Expect high prices in San Gimigniano, many tourist traps concerning food and restaurants. For the better restaurants you need a reservation: host will give you tips.
