Colonna Resort

The location to me was the best in the whole of Sardinia, just six minutes drive from any place we wanted to go locally including Porto Cervo. The staff were absolutely amazing everywhere but I would like to send a big "Thank You" to Vanessa in particular. She was extremely attentive and so pleasant. The terrace bar, the swimming pools as well as the small private beach are all great. Also, there's ample parking available for all guests at all times.

The rooms and the corridors to the rooms are crying out for renovation. They're very dated including the bathroom and the furniture and certainly do not represent the 5* category. The mattress and the pillows weren't very comfortable and the whole room needed a complete revamp. Also, every hotel I've visited all around the world, would leave at least 2 complementary bottles of water in the room daily, but not the Colonna!

The property was comfortable, beautiful views, and great location. Service was outstanding. Particularly Franco, the Concierge, made life very easy.

I liked everything at this resort. I stayed for 4 nights and didn’t want to leave. It has amazing views from the breakfast and pools areas. The beach was small but I liked it. It has a beautiful garden that I sat and meditate. It has multiple pools all of them are good and clean with a jacuzzi but the water was cold. Breakfast was very good and lunch and dinner at the resort is incredible . I had sea view room and my room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Didn’t hear any noise at night but during the day I could hear some noises through the walls. The resort offers a two way shuttle bus to porto cervo free of charge. The resort also offers a boat trip with small groupto la Maddalena island and stop at different beaches. The trip cost 150€ including lunch aperitif and desert and free of charge bus that went to the port and dropped us back at the resort The SPA was really great and relaxing with heated pool, jacuzzi, sauna and Turkish hammam. The service at the resort was a bit slow but the staff were helpful.A little renovation to this resort will make it top notch but i have a good time there. Would recommend this resort if you are looking to relax by the beach, pool and SPA with restaurants for lunch and dinner and room service especially if you don’t have a car.

Beautiful hotel and location. Clean. Pool and private Beach is great. Amazing view. Staff very helpful and friendly, especially the concierge who was amazing. Excellent breakfast.

A big resort with several pools, nice garden area, cozy beach, friendly staff. The food was excellent, I recommend HB option.

The spa area and specially the gym needs renovations.

- The breakfast was only average for a 5 star hotel, in addition the staff needs to improve a lot both in service and friendliness On the first day we didn’t know that breakfast was only until 10 am and at 10:10 am the entire buffet was removed without ever having worried about us even after I explained the situation - even though check out is only at noon at 11am they called our room (twice) to ask us to leave the room with the excuse that in high season they ask guests to leave the room earlier!!

Whilst the hotel has somewhat dated decor the staff were friendly and the facilities on site are fairly extensive. It is a very large resort. It offered a buffet breakfast upstairs on the deck area (with an indoor part as well). The breakfast had a fair variety of food from savoury to sweets/pastries. The staff were diligent with their offering of coffees. I did not eat dinner at the resort however it boasted a beautiful view of the ocean and sunset from the balcony. The rooms were fairly dated and a bit small (for 2 people with 2 lots of luggage each). The walls were very thin which was disappointing and we couldn't tell whether the noise came from above us or beside us. The pools were extensive and great and the downstairs lunch area had a good variety of food and the lasagna was delicious! The aircon in the room was great and there were 2 sets of blinds, one sheer to let light in and then blockout blinds which were very effective.

Somewhat dated decor. It would be good to have the offering of a shuttle to and from Port Cervo. I understand it may not be feasible given the size of the hotel. There are limited taxis on the island so really had to rely on being very prepared with transport. Really I'd recommend hiring a car. The pineapple at breakfast seemed to be from a tin. Other fruits were definitely fresh though.

We went for our honeymoon and it was a spontaneous last minute booking, but it sure was a top choice!! Amazing spot, amazing view, the aura of the place from the beautiful reception staff to the breakfast and dinner as well as pool staff - amazing!! Very helpful in providing extra activities outside of the hotel if you want to explore.. Would definitely recommend those visiting Porto Cervo this is the place to be - central to the town. What more could you want! And you have the choice of pool (many pools) and the beach entry right at your feet. We had an amazing stay at Colonna Resort and we’ll definitely be back!

The Hotel is very nice. Beautiful garden, swimming pool and private beach area. Rooms comfortable, nice and clean (even though a bit small). Very good breakfast with a lot of different choices. Very good restaurant for lunch and bar for snacks. Staff was nice and friendly. Nice location, close to Porto Cervo.

Wall in between rooms are like veils, so you can hear everything your neighbours are saying or doing. On top of that we had a crying toddler right next to our room that cried all the time and he woke us up every morning at 6 am. We asked to change the room but reception was not very helpful at all and we had to deal with this situation during our all vacation. Pretty annoying. I know the crying kid was not the Hotel’s fault, but as the Hotel is very big, they could at least allocate single couple rooms far away from family with kids.
