Villa Gini

Villa Gini is adorable and the staff is on a whole new level of kindness. We arrived hours before the check-in time with the intention of only asking them to store our luggage so we could walk around the city more freely until check-in time. Instead, we were greeted with coffee, an enthusiastic smile and they let us check-in immediately. The room was spotless and very comfy. They even gave us breakfast as soon as we were settled in. It really felt like coming home to your family. The breakfast is made with love, using ingredients from their garden, like fresh blood orange juice and strawberry pancakes. Couldn't have asked for a better stay.

Can't think of anything we didn't like. If we ever return to Pisa, we will always stay here.

The welcome was great warm friendly and the owner was happy to help, they spoke excellent English. Prepared to give you local information which was both helpful and accurate. We stayed for 6 nights and used Pisa as our hub while there we visited by local train, (which was just a few minutes walk to station from Villa Gini) to get to Lucca, Florence etc. We had a car for two days, which we collected from Pisa Airport a short walk away. There was a local car park 2 mins walk from Villa Gini, which offered free overnight parking. By car we visited Montefagatasi, San Gimiano, Volterra, Bagni Lucca, returning each evening to Pisa for dinner and then back to Villa Gini for a good nights sleep.

We didn't like having to leave Villa Gini to continue our tour.

The room was spacious enough for the two of us, very high ceilings. The shower was fine, we could have used one or two more hooks for our toiletry bags and towels. The breakfast was wonderful, so tasty and having our first morning in Italy on their balcony having some good food and great coffee ended up being one of our favorite moments in the trip. The host is wonderful and attentive and good communication via WhatsApp. This was the perfect place to start our long awaited trip and afterwards we wished we had stayed longer in Pisa just to stay there.

What a fantastic stay, just a shame we were only there for one night! The property is beautiful inside and the room was perfect for us with a very comfortable mattress. Check in was incredible simple and easy. The air con was also wonderful in the current 38 degree heat of the summer. Just a 20 minute walk to restaurants and the tower. The staff we spoke to were so lovely and accommodating, we really appreciated the effort they went to with the breakfast due to our nut allergies and they were very thorough with explanations of what was what etc. This was something that really stood out to us, so thank you. Would recommend to anyone staying in Pisa.

Charming and authentically Italian bed and breakfast in a good location very near to Pisa central train station. The hosts were responsive, very attentive and very considerate as our son has a nut allergy. They were in contact in advance with a short video to access the property and also made it ready in advance of the advertised time to accommodate our young children. The family room is a big spacious air conditioned room. It is basic but everything you need is provided including shower gels and shampoos. The bathroom is for exclusive use but separate to the bedroom which was no issue at all. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely return. Thank you Roberto and Sofia!

This is the charming guesthouse in Pisa, with host Roberto making you extremely welcome in their home. From my arrival Roberto was very kind and helpful in recommendations for my brief time in Pisa. They had arranged for my room to be ready early, which was beautifully and thoughtfully designed and was very spacious. It was an easy walk to the main sights and I took some of their recommendations that they sent via WhatsApp. The next morning there was a very generous breakfast buffet with lots of local produce, which I enjoyed in their garden. I felt welcome in their home throughout and would certainly recommend very highly to anyone visiting Pisa.

Loved the authentic character of Villa Gini, had that old style vibe that you often get in Italy. The owner Roberto is the perfect host, attentive, helpful, knowledgeable and honest when giving advice and recommendations. Breakfast is definitely a highlight, delicious selection of regional produce plus homegrown tomatoes from the garden. Location is great, perfectly placed between the airport, train station and city centre. Local neighbourhood feels fine with a couple of nice restaurants, cafes and shops.

Nothing to dislike, happy with everything.

The location of the place is perfect, it’s located conveniently enough to be in range of everything you need within 15 minutes. The price is also of good value which makes it even better. Their air conditioner works great, we survived in 35 degree weather because of that. The host, Roberto, was very helpful and even made us a hand drawn map of all the places they like to visit. They are worth your time.

Ok, this place has a very authentic old school vibe, for some that is a deal breaker but for us this was great. Upon entry you are welcomed with this big hallway with a huge marble staircase and a very open room with a great view. The floor is an authentic wooden fish skeleton style which gives it a very nice vibe. We even had a fireplace (didn’t use it)

The building itself is stunning, inside and out. The old features of the building are beautiful and the ceilings are huge. The large windows are beautiful. The staff are so so so sweet, super friendly and very accommodating. We are vegan and they went out of their way to buy us some breakfast food. No one has done this before which shows you how much they care about their customer. I Definitely recommend it !

Because the building is so old the bathroom is a little weathered so the shower didn’t drain properly, the water pressure wasn’t great but that’s simply the age of the building I think.

Super friendly staff, particularly Roberto, who are flexible and happy to help in any way they can. We were there in the heatwave, so didn't eat in the garden for breakfast as too hot, but imagine it would be divine to sit out there when a little cooler!

This wasn't a problem for us, but a couple of the room access their bathroom/toilet across the hall. This wasn't any real inconvenience for us, but if you would like to have your bathroom/toilet in your room, you might want to specify this at time of booking and check that a room with this facility is available.
