Windsor Hotel Milano

Excellent breakfast !! One of the best I've had in hotels !!

The sojourn fee is a scam (10 Euros for 2 days).... simply because my booking receipt shows "All tax and Fees included"!! Therefore, WHY charge me city tax AFTER I arrive, especially since I was NOT a tourist; I was in the city for WORK!! The hotel should refund 10 EUROS to me.

I ADORED the lovely lady in the breakfast buffet. She is the MAIN reason I decided to write a review and my review will only concentrate on her!! I was rushing to get to my taxi in the morning and couldn't sit down for breakfast, I was dead hungry and needed a coffee! So, I only had time to get a coffee and a snack to go and she was lovely enough to accommodate me with a to-go. I think that mediterranean people only would get this the most, but I only asked for 3 (small :P) croissants and she was like no I ll give you more, take 5, and that was something that my (Greek) mom and grandma would do and that was instantly heartwarming. I mean its just food, but sometimes with small acts of kindness and a warm smile makes all the difference sometimes <3 <3 <3 You made my day!!! I ll come back and this time I hope I can sit down too :) I also have to make a note about the shampoo/shower gel - loved the scent and it stayed throughout the day !! Ok, to make the review a bit useful too, there's a metro station near by and the area seems safe and pretty convenient.

The room was completely clean.

Unfortunately one italics man in reception was not friendly at all, and he didn’t help me to find a place. I can’t control my room temperature because I feel cold but I can’t change my air conditioner to heat mode. They don’t put slippers but when I want, they provide it for me.

Great value for money, very comfy bed and exceptionally clean. The complimentary mini bar was unexpected and a great addition.

There was no option to borrow an ironing board for the room, so I had to use a communal one behind reception which was awkward.

The Windsor hotel is in a great location. Only a 15 minute walk from the train station and about 5 minutes from the metro. It is surrounded by buildings but the area seems quiet which is great to get away from the crowds in the centre of Milan. There is a tram line beside the hotel but the noise didn't bother us. Our room was on the second floor. I loved the way they left complimentary water and minerals in the fridge. The room was cleaned well every day. The toiletries were lovely. The breakfast had loads of choices and was very tasty. You could help yourself to anything you wanted. The staff were friendly and helpful. We arrived early the first day and they took care of our luggage with no Hassel. In fact our luggage was in our room when we returned. We had a very enjoyable stay at the Windsor. I would definitely recommend.

The hotel is clean and the room and bathroom quite spacious. The hotel is minutes away from Porto Garibaldi train station as I was travelling early in the morning. The staff were helpful in calling a taxi very early in the morning.

The hotel is located in a business area where nothing nearby was open at 8 pm. Luckily a carrefour shop was open. The hotel restaurant was closed! No room service and no restaurants nearby! As I was leaving very early in the morning I asked for a breakfast box which was very poorly prepared. I saw other travellers with breakfast boxes from other hotels with fruits and yoghurt and fresh croissants, nothing of that was in mine. By the way the others also were 4 star hotels just like Windsor. No one was there to help me with my luggage! It was ok for one night, however dont think will choose it again if I travel back to Milano.

Very comfortable stay. The room was modern, the bed was large. We enjoyed our stay.

Good facilities - very clean and modern, room was comfortable and a good size. Free mini bar with water (restocked daily) and soft drinks. Good location - only a few minutes walk from metro station which is then 3 stops away from Duomo cathedral in the city centre. There wasn't a huge choice at breakfast but there was enough and quality of food was good. Overall a very pleasant and comfortable stay.

Staff were polite but not overly friendly, didn't really interact with guests that much

For 4 star the toiletries weren’t good. There was no shampoo, conditioner, kettle ,toothpaste . However the toothpaste was given by reception when we asked . The kettle was provided thank to guy at front desk. The water and drink was complementary. The hotel looked dark from outside . Bar and restaurant ws closed which was sad

The hotel is very well located, 2 mins from Republica metro station, which is direct line to the Piazza del Duomo, and also close to shopping streets. The restaurant downstairs is great, the breakfast was included and delicious. the room was very big, and cool, loved their air-condition system. the bathroom was huge and updated, with 2 rain showerheads. the bed and pillows were very comfortable and the bed sheets, veeery soft and smelled amazing. The staff were very nice- The day of my departure there was a strike of the taxy drivers against uber, so no taxy and no uber were available that day. The reception had prepared for all the guests a print out with detailed information on alternative ways to get to the airport. Very thoughtful. i highly recommend this place, and it will be my first choice for my next visit to Milan.
