Hamlet Court Hotel

There is a strong sense of nostalgia in this hotel. If you are a returning expatriate as I am, it fills you with a sense of memory for the ‘old Country’ The smell of wood, the big rooms with comfortable beds and crisp clean sheets and fluffy towels, the charm of age in the bar the restaurant and throughout the hotel. Ample and private parking leads you to a picturesque frontage, manicured and colored with an array of flowers and foliage. The old world charm that exists here is a very pleasant atmosphere to stay in and is amplified by the incredible staff who without exception are a delight to interact with. There is an open, genuine, professional and welcoming aura from each one of them that lets you know you are in good hands. It may not be the newest of hotels but the warmth of the experience more than makes up for any minor lack that may exist. Loved it …. I’m sure you will too!

A truly great spot, enjoyed our stay so much we extended it from 2 to 3 nights. Excellent service with that special touch... very friendly obliging staff, a real gem, a genuine Irish experience from this family run hotel and not the usual typical hotel business vibe. Even visiting locals and maintenance workers had a warm smile and greeting. It was just perfect as a relaxing stay which was our intention, homely and 'country' feel even though it's so close to Dublin. Tourists to Ireland would really like this hidden gem...a true Irish charm experience. 9 out of 10 awarded for the poor mattress which hotel needs to address.

we were at a nearby hotel for a wedding staff were very friendly and it did the job perfectly

there were four of us 2 adults 2 children and we had to book two rooms but one had two double beds so would have been perfect for us without the need for an additional , also breakfast that we paid extra for , we went down at 10 and there was a a family at different tables whom must have been at a wedding in the hotel the night before as they were all shouting to eachother recounting experiences , I’m a vegetarian and couldn’t eat anything as the utensils used to lift eggs etc were being used to lift meat and no staff for me to ask so we paid a lot of money for me to have a slice of toast and my son to have a bowl of cereal my daughter had three slices of bacon , felt there could have been a much better choice

The best stay in 10 countries!! Beds exceptionally comfortable, Shower VERY good pressure, tub for a soak if needed.. Room large and nicely laid out. Hotel Staff made sure everything was taken care of. ICE for the room and a polite mechanic came quickly to 'fix' something I didn't understand how to work. Pub had tasty menu, Breakfast was.good enough but also included the 'memu' items to order. Parking in back. Peaceful,.quiet town.

We met a lovely lady that worked in the bar only works weekends and only started in June or July of last year . Never got her name but she went out of her way to look after us . We sat out at reception my partner went into bar to order drinks and she carried the tray of drinks out for him . But everytime my partner went to bar she knew our order she is such an amazing member of staff and hamlet court are so lucky to have her.

The hangover nxt morning .

The room was spacious and had everything we needed, toiletries in the bathroom, a hairdryer, smart TV etc. We asked for a quite room and they gave us a room at the end of the hotel which was good.

While is was great we got a room in a quite area, unfortunately the man next door was snoring which I could hear quite clearly so the walls must be quite thin. The only complaint I have about the room was the bin in the bathroom hadn't been emptied after the last guests which made me a bit concerned about the rest of the cleaning, it looked fine, perhaps it was just forgotten this once.

We were able to check in late after being at a wedding which was great. The room was really spacious and the complimentary items in the bbathroom were really lovely. The wedding was in the Johnstown House, which we walked home from (15mins) as we couldn't get a taxi so its a great location.

We discovered the next morning that the window in our ground floor room opened right up, no security latch etc which was really worrying... but i also realised upon getting home that I left my eyelashes stuck to the bathroom mirror so apologies to the housekeeping for that.

Receptionist and bar staff very friendly & professional. Bedroom very comfortable and loved the Rituals assories in the bathroom. ❤. Breakfast was excellent. Great selection and great staff.

More love should be shown to the common areas. Bit shabby. Needs painting and freshing up.

the staff were excellent hotel was clean peaceful, dinner was outstanding.Due to a booking mixup our breakfast was not included however the hotel included it as a complimentary gesture which they need not have done but was greatly appreciated.

I loved the staff. They were exceptional. Helpful friendly accommodating. Really really lovely every one of them.

The food wasn't my favourite but I have exceptionally high standards. The chef was lovely though so made up for it.
