Hyatt Regency Yogyakarta

This hotel exceeded our expectations in every way, offering exceptional value for money for western standards. The staff struck the perfect balance of being friendly and helpful without being intrusive. The facilities are top-notch, featuring stunning gardens and pools. The hotel offers plenty of activities like golf, games and spa, which allow for a relaxing day at the hotel just enjoying the facilities without getting bored. However, the highlight of our stay was the restaurant. Boasting an extensive variety of both local and western dishes, every item we tried from their menu over more than 7 meals was not only delicious but also beautifully presented, and we never got tired of the menu or disappointed with any dish. Kudos to the chef!!! Our 5-day experience was incredibly comfortable, and we couldn't have made a better choice!

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at the hotel and wanted to share a couple of minor suggestions for improvement: Firstly, regarding the cocktails, while priced similarly to those in Europe, they seemed to have minimal alcohol content, resembling more of fruit juices. We understand that alcohol might not be as common in this country, but perhaps enhancing the alcohol content could be considered, else, aligning prices with the rest of the local options. Secondly, on Sunday, the pool and facilities were quite busy with day-long visitors. Although this isn't necessarily a drawback, we personally found the ambiance more preferable on calmer weekdays. Overall, our stay was truly enjoyable, and we look forward to returning.

The place is very nice. Clean, luxurious, quiet, restful, had activities that my daughter LOVED. She wanted to stay longer except that we had prebooked flights. Although it was far from the airport, it was near some of the places we wanted to visit. If you're interested in trying the Netflix famous lupis mbah satinem delicacy, this is a nice place to stay in. Booking.com also has a ride available for this, at early in the morning since the line should start at around 430 am. We got club access and the afternoon tea there was refreshing after a day's tour. I highly recommend Hyatt Regency Hotel in Yogyakarta.

Beds are comfy, staff are super friendly. Hotel setup is amazing. The welcome flowers, Gong and welcome drinks are very nice. staff entertained the kids and took them to feed the fish from the pond as the reception helps with checking in. We were blown away by the service from the minute we step out of the taxi.

If you're thinking of seeing Yogyakarta with the kids, you might want to spend a few more days in this hotel. The kids never wanted to leave the hotel as there are heaps of things for them to do inside the hotel compound. We spent three nights in the hotel and barely has any chance to see Yogyakarta.

This was a repeat visit as we really enjoyed our previous trip here. The property is spacious with beautiful garden and landscape overlooking the golf course. Pool is nice and food is good. The restaurant was also well priced and staff was very friendly. They also cater our requests very well, service was prompt and polite.

Just one minor thing that bug us was the baby chair they provided. We always clean the baby chair before using it but this time it was obviously not cleaned by the staff at all between use as there was stains of purple dragon fruit all over the chair.

Every staff I met was very friendly and helpful. Their service was speedy and were willing to go the extra mile. The most memorable incident for me - I left my luggage bag at the hotel after checkout. When the hotel staff called we were already half way to the airport but the hotel immediately sent the bag in another car to catch up with us so that we didn't have to waste time to turn back to the hotel. My sincere thanks and kudos to the hotel staff. Breakfast was great with many international and local varieties. We particularly liked the local dish nasi gudeg kercek. We found that it was better than most stores in Jogja (we tried many) but strangely we noticed it was not that popular among the breakfast crowd. Maybe because of its location? it was far away from the main area and in fact I didn't even notice it on my first day. Room was clean but worn out (anyway heard renovation was on-going).

The room was a bit small - after adding the third bed there was not much space left for walking.

I don't even know where to begin. As a lover of food, the breakfast buffet was something I always looked forward to, the staff always checked in on us, making sure we had everything we wanted. We could request things that weren't on display and everything was so well made. The room was comfortable, we got a deluxe, despite the rain, we got to take advantage of the balcony and the swing. The staff was something else. They go above and beyond to ensure your comfort. Mas Sugeng always came to our table to offer freshly baked croissants and mbak Peni and mbak Sri catered to our needs and our questions concerning tourist spots and restaurants and such. Mbak Lovas on the front desk was very accommodating, along with other staff that were always warm in welcoming us back as we walked through the front door. The facilities! Free bike rental, vouchers for scooter and angkringan, free spa and sauna, very nice and big swimming pool area! The gym! And everything else in between, you've got everything here. I noticed that people were keen to play golf here too, it was obvious to see. I can keep going but I'd better stop before I ran out of characters here 😆

Usually I'd go with the more modern options, but my mom always has a thing for vintage/old fashioned hotels. So despite how nice everything is, the age of the building and facilities do show, the leaking faucets, the creaking toilet seats, the subtle smell of dampness at certain spots, among others. But this is just such a nitpicking trait of mine. My stay was wonderful, nothing was lacking in any way.

Service : All staff member are great especially Amanda who can interact with our children. Breakfast : Love the foods and breakfast ambience outdoor area Facilities : One of best recommendation for family to stay from kids pool, fish pond, mini zoo, bicycle and others. Bedroom : Everything is great from Bed, Linen, Towel, Amenities, Lightning and others that keeps your bedroom calm, warm and homy.

Nothing. The rooms for some people is quite old-fashioned, but still OK. Only, if can add-up the carpet on room, it will be perfect. However, thats only minor compare with their great services.

Breakfast selection is good. Hotel has many facilities to allow guests to spend their time enjoying the premise. The staff are very friendly, helpful, attentive and welcoming!

The room decoration could be a bit rundown (but could see the facility is under renovation)! The pool is a bit dirty (water is a bit dirty). Nearby the hotel has literally nothing to explore, but equally the cab fare is rather affordable in Yogyakarta, so it is not an issue to hire a cab to the nearest mall.

The staff was exceptionally warm n welcoming Ms. Peni, Ms. Widiya, the head chef, restaurant manager were amazing! Since we we’re vegetarians, they made sure we had enough food to eat at every meal. Havent seen any hotel staff being that friendly and caring. Facilities are amazing- pool with loads of activities, sauna, hot jacuzzi, golf, atv, electric scooters - spent a full day out of the 5 days we stayed, at the resort to use all the facilities. We will surely go back there if we go Jogja again. Highly recommend!!

everything, great staff, probably the most professional and friendly staff I have ever dealt with. everyone spoke English. like, even the kids were able to have conversations with the staff and every interaction we had was positive. amazing (free) breakfast, best breakfast I ever had in Indonesia. spectacular array of pools in all temperature, depths and sizes with rope swing, water slides, a basketball hoop and floaties, surrounded by well taken care of gardens. free hot tub/sauna area. everything was spotless clean. rooms had amazing views.
