Borobudur Jakarta Hotel

The suite was spacious and quiet. Nice and helpful staff both at the reception and at the bar. Breakfast was superb. The hotel is 15min walk from Gambir train Station

I had booked this hotel JUST because of its swimming as we were on a stopover on the way back home and were not interested in visiting Jakarta but just wanted to relax waiting for our flight. Surprisingly on our arrival we were told the swimming pool was closed for maintenance and would be closed the next day too. Ironically the pool reopend when we were about to leave to the airport. I understand hotel facilities need maintenance but when l booked l had specified the only reason l had chosen Borobudur Hotel was the swimming pool. This said l'd had appreciated a message from the hotel about the swimming pool closure before our arrival. We could have opted for a different hotel or at least the piece of information wouldn't have been given out of the blue

Breakfast was excellent! My room is clean despite choosing a smoking room it doesn't smell at all. The facilities on the hotel is amazing too especially with the gym fully equipped with modern machine.

I would say breakfast should have a little more variety, for the 8 days I stayed everyday on the breakfast menu is the same. Don't get me wrong, it's good especially their bakery is really good. But it gets boring when you tried all if not the most things available.

The location is perfect for leisure. The largest mosque in jakarta, cathedral and monas are just a hundred feet away from the property. Also the overall vibes are very nice and can feel the modern classical jakarta & western vibes, as this hotel is the 2nd oldest 5 star hotel in Jakarta. This hotel is the best choice for especially the jazz festival season.

The facility isn't well maintained. As most annoying part of the stay, especially the elevator doesn't smoothly work and it takes quite many trials and time to scan the card key to get the room floor available. It lets many guests queue for scanning their keys to get out at their desired floor from the elevator. And the bed smells pretty bad. We heard that this hotel is the 2nd oldest 5 star hotel in jakarta, but I dont feel such 5 star equivalent grade any longer. For me, overall it is okay, because the price per stay is under 100usd and very reasonable for experiences there. But if you really want a 5 star experience, this property wouldn't be your choice.

Hotel Borobududur offers all what a good five stars hotel in Indonesia should offer: a generous, beautiful room, a comfortable bed, a good breakfast, However there are two points which make Borodbudur Hotel outstanding. The first ist the 50 meter swimmingpool of olympic dimension. For serious swimmers this is pure pleasure. The second is the huge, fully developped tropical hotel garden in the heart of Jakarta. What could be better to conculde a busy day in the capital than a lovely stroll through the peaceful, beautifully illuminated hotel garden before going to bed?

The location is perfect, close to main sights in central Jakarta and Gambir train station. All within walking distance. Hotel is a very big complex, with several restaurants.

- Black mold in bathroom. - The breakfast is excellent, but we didn't know where to go the first day. Nobody told us and it's also not indicated. So we sat down in the wrong restaurant the first day, where a very poor breakfast was served.

The wonderfull garden with huge pool area and Fitness Center. All well maintained. Amazing Christmas decoration within the hotel. Best breakfast ever had in a hotel. Food was amazing. Great Team at Dinning area. Very helpfull. Hotel is located in walking distance to all points of interest. The Bed was very comfy. Staff very friendly. The young guy working at Pool and Tennis Court gets extra Star on friendliness.

The smell in the room was not nice and some Furniture are out of shape.

Towells at the swimming pool had an unbelievebly horrifying look with: stains, tears off. Quite disgusting tbh. And shower room at the pool also given un sanitary vibe with dark and slippery tiles and bad piss smell. I entered one shower room with other guest's clothes still hanging inside😢 Verry expensive breakfast package. Our choice to take bfast outside instead of inhouse seemed to be a good decision, considering the price and other guests reviews about this hotel's bfast.

I highly suggest this wonderful hotel situated in an excellent position in Jakarta. You will love to have a walk in the magnificient gardens or to relax at the Spa with top professional therapist. A special mention to the staff at the recepition desk: Ratu and Clara has been great to help me with a not so easy booking and checkout with four rooms, late checkout, airport transfers and several invoice to fill… so kind, professional and proactive! I want to thank you once again!

Old is gold! Well maintained property having a huge , beautiful tropical garden like an oasis in the middle of traffic Jakarta & clean olimpic size pool Breakfast is spread beautifully from western to local foods Staff are warm welcoming the guests

We were staying at room 1418 - good size of room, clean with comfy twin beds. The staff are friendly and caters to guests wishes plus location is strategic in Central Jakarta. But what I love the most about this hotel sits on a sizeable and beautiful landscape surrounding with big trees, huge swimming pool also has a good breakfast & lunch buffet with plenty of options.
