Holiday Inn Chennai OMR IT Expressway, an IHG Hotel

Staff are helpful, room service guy is very polite, whenever I request anything for my room they are responding in no time, my room size was ok, bed is comfortable with additional 1 sofa seater, many electric outlets for any devices you have.

I booked for breakfast only, I was not familiar with their food and most was local dishes, I kept turning here and there trying to read the names of the dishes but I could not guess the ingredients, unfortunately I was following low carb diet so I did not have much options .. I wish they will include various dishes from different countries, and write a note about the ingredients.

The location is great and the staff is friendly.

It's good for what we paid. Standards and consistency are slightly lower than other places I've been to in India. It's the small things - pictures aren't hung straight, the bottom of the mirror was messed up, at breakfast the staff wasn't consistent with their procedures and food temps weren't up to standards (unsafe). Also, I cut a deal with the manager on breakfast and the "system" he came up with was that I had to call down to the front desk before I went to breakfast each morning. Um, OK. So I did that. The staff had no idea why I was doing that. By the third time, the lady said I don't have to do it and it's noted on my account. Finally, a real system emerged that was simple.

Short distances to the Rapid Rail, the Thiruvalluvar Nagar Beach and Besant Nagar beach was a bonus. Good city view. Quality and spread of the break fast was wonderful. The staff was exceptionally good in all aspects. Room was very good and sufficient.

The shower was a major problem, though i set the shower to warm there would be atleast 15 second burst of BOILING water sprayed and then for next 90 seconds the water would go back to warm which had set. This repeated full time. Short 10 sec burst of hottest skin burning water flow periodically in between a regular flow of warm water setting in the shower. This could have been just room specific.

it was very clean, breakfast was delicious (best masala dosa), beds very comfortable

pool could not be fully used due to children’s swimming school occupying the whole pool most of the time. parents of kids in swimming class filmed the whole time (us as well!!) and occupied all sunbeds and removed our belongings on the sunbeds without asking. staff didn’t manage to bring and restock pool towels.

I loved the staff. Everyone from reception to the service guys were very friendly and courteous. The sunday brunch and breafast menus were great so would highly suggest utilising the breakfast package.

Reaching people through “one touch” service was a horrible experience. The line keeps ringing sometimes with no answer. There is a lot of room to improve here to promptly answer the phone.

Staff is very helpful! Lovely people! Buffet had a good selection. Rooms were clean. My stay was very comfortable.

The chai in the restaurant was not good! Please fix . When the buffet is very busy orders for omelets and dosas tend to get lost in the chaos.

The hotel stands upto the expectation of the Holiday Inn chain hotels. Very clean rooms and hotel and a good variety of food. Amazing breakfast spread.

The location is right on the road. Though it may be a plus, there is hardly any area to walk around. Also the view from our window was over slums. Slightly overpriced.

The location suited me perfectly. The breakfast was ok but not as superb as ITC chola, where I stayed previously. The service at the reception was very good. All the ladies at the reception was very helpful. Overall I was very happy with my stay at the Holliday inn Chennai.

The bathroom could have been a bit more better and cleaner.

Staffs were so calm and composed, they took good care of guests. We have been asked regarding our comfort regularly to make sure everything was well.

Sometimes our call to in-room dining service was not picked up . We need to call one touch service and they have responded immediately and connected us to in-room dining service.

Beautiful hotel. Clean large room, with great city view. Great selection of breakfast items, South Indian and continental included. Firm and very comfortable bed, well appointment furniture, and good ambiance. Love the facility. Great staff excellent room service and good choices of lunch and dinner menu.

TV has no program to watch. Every channel is paid channel. For the guest there is no TV entertainment possible.
