Golden Star City Resort

Our stay was perfect. Greek hospitality and very good service are very hard to beat. Specifically, the Golden Star is a hotel right on the beach, and in everything you do you are constantly connected to the sea. Excellent hotel services!

The alternation of breakfast could be improved. Even if the buffet is very diverse, some salads or small dishes could be changed from day to day. Very good breakfast, but we had 4 consecutive days the same breakfast choices. If we stay 2 weeks we would very much like to have this alternation. Thanks and good luck in the future, Golden Star! You do an excellent job!

First of all, location : if you are looking to be close to the beach, you can't be closer unless you sleep on a sunbed! Comfortable rooms, stunning view (sea-view room), no traffic at all. Very helpful, attentive, multilingual staff (everybody speaks English as a minimum), determined to make your stay pleasant and quick to render service. Very good food -- probably the best of Peraia beach establishments, and prices look to me reasonable for this level of skill. Breakfast quite a sight in terms of variety. Room service almost instant, never waited for my order more than 10 min. Reasonable distance between sunbeds at the beach, beach boys and girls never far away, spotless cleanliness and strict Covid compliance with hand sanitiser on every table.

It is quite anecdotal but the beach towels really could be better for an establishment of this rank, I stumbled upon some torn and looking oldish. The climatisation in the rooms is a blessing but cannot be adjusted in terms of intensity, only in terms of temperature, and it's noisy, which is a pity.

The restaurant, staff and food are very good. The location is also very good.

We paid for the family room because we thought the children would go with us. But since we didn’t,ask to be exchanged are room for a room with a better view. The hotel was empty and they asked us to pay extra. That room was cheaper than the apartment we had already paid. The parking lot was empty and they ask for 12e a day,and there was enough parking space on all sides around the hotel. Managers need to pay a little more attention to guest satisfaction.

The staff was absolutely excellent! Friendly, helpful, patient! They helped us with any inconvenience we had. Special thanks to the F&B manager and the front office manager! The breakfast was very good and the rooms were specious.Plenty of small restaurants around.

The hotel is indeed beachfront. However, the beach is extremely small and there's not enough space. The dinner is rather poor, drinks are not included. There's an extra charge for dogs for which we were not informed in advance, as well as a deposit fee of 150 euro. The air-conditioning was not working when we were not in the room, which can be quite frustrating when you come back from the outside where it's 37 degrees. There were also other minor inconveniences, which the staff managed to solve for us.

Beach was good not great but good enough. Breakfast was superb & the staff were also superb. Spa treatment prices were not in keeping with either the regional pricing or the hotel standard. Too expensive for the size & location of the spa.

The penthouse suite with the large balcony and jacuzzi was just as pictured. Unfortunately, there were many ants near the sliding door in the living room but the front desk took care of that right away. The staff was super friendly and always ready to help. My family and I really enjoyed the welcome fruit platter with drinks of our choice. The hotel has its own umbrellas w/ loungers right across the street on the beach. It was gorgeous and we loved it.

The buffet dinner offered in the evening could include at least one free drink.

- grass on the beach and in the sea, I think municipality should clean and refurbish complete coast in Peraia, Ok, it is not up to hotel. Beach is disaster only due to the grass. - I suppose you have mostly double or 2+1 rooms, but in the dinning room tables are for 8 to 10 people. So when normal tables for 4 people are occupied, then it is not comfortable to sit at the table for 10 people. - Food is good, but for 4* hotel, maybe you should improve it

The location was great due to it being directly across from the beach. The people were super friendly and helpful. The food was very inexpensive to top it off.

The only dislike is that we had a leaky toilet and couldn't get maintenance to come fix it and it seemed that it was a water leak in the wall after we took showers. There wasn't actually a shower, it was a tub/sprayer. Next time offer to change rooms if something like that occurs again.

I would say one of the best hotels to stay in on the Perea beachfront. My second time staying here. Worth getting a sea view room for the lovely views. Really nice breakfast. It has its own private section of beach with free deckchairs and umbrellas. Lots of restaurants and shops 1-2 blocks behind the hotel. I recommend them over all the touristy restaurants on the beach front. Flavour House, 2 mins walk away, does really nice and affordable coffees. There's a lovely Greek bakery directly across the road from Flavour House, but the name is in Greek only. I went to both of them daily. It's very close to ferries which take you to Thessaloniki port in 50 mins.

Best hotel in the area. Central location in front of the beach and promenade. Loads of restaurants, cafes, stores etc. Close to Thessaloniki without the traffic madness and crowds, yet close enough to enjoy the city and surrounding area of Halkidiki. The hotel and rooms are well made, all the furniture is new and well maintained. The bed, pillows and mattress are very comfortable perfect for a good night sleep. Reception staff George and Hristos were outstanding, helpful, kind, and highly professional. We loved the breakfast room with a beautiful view of the sea. This is our fourth stay in this hotel and we will come back again!

Late night noise in the the hallways. This is not the hotel's fault, perhaps guests should be reminded of good manners and basic consideration when in public areas.
