Epavli Boutique Hotel

A relatively quiet location, a very easy walk to the Old Town area and almost nextdoor to the “Courts” district with plentiful cafes and restaurants. Our room (ground floor apt, garden view) was spacious, clean, very well fitted out, with a daily maid service (with linen/towels) if required, fridge topped up daily with water. Great breakfast choice served in a relaxed manner in the well shaded garden. But it’s the team of staff who make this special, especially Dina, who could not do more for us.

I hope it indicates just how great this hotel is, when my only negative would be to ask for a larger bin in the room.

This is a great little hotel. Far and way the best thing about it is the staff. You could not hope to meet a friendlier and more helpful group of people. They go out of their way to make you feel at home. The rooms are large, stylish, well appointed, very clean and made for a very comfortable stay. A nice touch was breakfast in the garden (weather permitting of course). The hotel is centrally located in Chania about a 15 minute walk from the old town. It's on a busy street however and has no parking. If you have a rental car, you can park on the street but may have to accept that you can't park outside the hotel.

There was nothing I disliked. The only improvement I would suggest is a coat hook and a few draws in the bedrooms as, in my opinion, this would make them a little more practical.

Dina & Penny were exceptional hosts always smiling, chatty and willing to help ensure your stay was comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, good quality food and well presented, our favourite the freshly squeezed orange juice . The rooms were modern with comfortable beds and kept very clean. Staff helped create a sociable atmosphere around the pool area & very attentive. The walk to the old town/ harbour was approx 16mins with plenty of restaurants to choose from. I certainly would recommend this beautiful boutique hotel to family & friends.

Nothing to dislike.

The hotel is located in an old villa, which is very nice. Our room was quiet small, but nicely done and the bed was comfy. All in all it was a nice stay with friendly personnel and a good breakfast. Parking Situation on the street is perfect.

The shower was pretty open, so that the entire bathroom was getting wet. Also the room lacked some closets for a week stay. Maybe here comfort should be higher ranked than design. The walk into the City Centre is about 15-20min, there are not that many restaurant closer around.

The staff were absolutely amazing- Penny is so friendly, welcoming and always there to help. The location is great- outside of the centre of Chania so you can get away from the crowds but close enough to walk there in about 10/15 mins. We travelled with our 20 month year old son, so the park just down the road was perfect to take him to some mornings. We also loved the local beach which was a 10 min walk away - very small section of sand but just what we needed and only locals there swimming in the sea so didn’t feel touristy. The breakfast at the hotel each morning was also delicious. We walked into town each day for an early dinner with our little one.

Everything! Epavli is an absolute gem of a hotel, a real oasis in a busy bustling city. All the staff were wonderful from the front of house team to the breakfast team to the cleaning team - they were all lovely and made us feel welcome and comfortable. The rooms were spotless, spacious, comfortable and thoughtfully designed, the garden was peaceful with plenty of sunny spots and shade under the trees when the sun got a bit much. Breakfast was a total treat with so much to choose from - buying lunch was never necessary!

If you want to experience a top holiday, this is the right place. The house is located close to the centre in a neighborhood of old villas, a 15-minute walk from the port of Chania. On arrival we were greeted by the very friendly lady Judith, who showed us to our suite and immediately offered us two Aperol Spritz. Our suite was on the ground floor with an outside table. The very spacious room is designed and furnished with modern, contemporary taste. Very comfortable bed and functional furniture. Modern bathroom with everything you need. The excellent breakfast is served under two giant avocado trees by the very friendly Penny. The breakfast is rich and consists of fresh produce. Penny spoiled us throughout our stay, often offering us drinks. The pool and sunbathing area is ideal for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. Everything was so good that we never wanted to leave. We will definitely return. Thank you Penny!

The location of the property is wonderful .. quiet enough for you to sleep and enjoy the pool, but close enough to the old port to enjoy a night of dinner, and music. The staff shared restaurant recommendations and day plan suggestions to ensure you made the best use of your stay. The highlight is breakfast where to minimize food waste and ensure your food is prepared fresh you fill out a nightly request form, and your meal is prepared when you wake up. Thank you to Dina and all the staff.

This is a beautiful boutique hotel with only 11 rooms so it suits those who want a quiet, peaceful break. Although there is no restaurant or bar as such, breakfast is served in the delightful courtyard style garden under a magnificent avocado tree and the staff are very generous with the complimentary drinks! The rooms are super comfy and clean and the staff are amazing; very helpful and friendly. The pool is fabulous; great to cool off in and big enough to get a few lengths in too! Chania town and harbour are about a 15 minute walk away.

Nothing, everything was fabulous.

We had such a wonderful honeymoon staying at Epavali. Everyone was so lovely, super helpful and beyond attentive. Breakfast under the avocado tree was the best start to the day, with all the homemade quirks such as lemon marmalade and cherry juice. The atmosphere was relaxed and the location was right by old town! Highly recommend!

Nothing. Maybe the lighting in the rooms could be a bit dimmer/ warmer? That's all I can think of!
