Mouikis Hotel Kefalonia

Beautiful hotel in Argostoli . Our room was small but very cosy and modern . The bed is a good size and extremely comfortable. Air conditioning is excellent .Bathroom is small but the shower is very good and we always had hot water .. Bathrobes and slippers are also provided . There is a TV with some English channels and plenty of plug sockets . The maid cleaned our room once a day and did an excellent job. Our balcony was very private with a fantastic view . It had two sun loungers with towels provided so we could spend time relaxing there. There is also a small table and chairs . Breakfast is up until 10.30 am each morning, and this is continential buffet style , they also have sausages, bacon and eggs etc . Plenty of choice for everyone. The rooftop terrace is so amazing ! The most incredible view of Argostoli and the harbour . They have tables and chairs and also some some sun loungers . There is a hot tub which I highly recommend. I did not want to get out! You really can't ask for a better view whilst relaxing in a hot tub! The bar on the terrace is open from 3pm until 11pm . Excellent service here from Joanna, who was very professional and friendly. We really enjoyed chatting to her and hope to see her again one day . The staff are all very hospitable and made us feel very welcome during our stay . Myself and my husband have been coming to Kefalonia for 17 years, but this was our first time staying in Argostoli . We really enjoyed being based here, and we will definitely stay at The Mouikis Hotel again .

The location of the hotel is ideal for exploring the island. It has private parking (5euro/day - need reservation). The breakfast is reach but the same everyday. The rooms on the 3rd floor have an excellent sea view and have huge terrace.

The cleanliness has to be improved. There was hair in the room on the floor on check in day. There was a lot of dust on the headboard of the bed and in the wardrobe. There are not enough hooks for towels and bathrobe. The water from bathroom was leaking to the terrace. The coffee at breakfast is bad.

The location of the hotel is perfect. With everything in argostoli accessible by foot and amenities are very close to the hotel. (Supermarket, pharmacy, etc.) The staff are very friendly with a 24/7 desk, which is great. We had daily room service. The breakfast had a range. With good variety. Definitely worth the room upgrade, to sea views it was beautiful looking over the water and having the views of the island. We can not fault the service we received - including the great communications before the trip.

The roof top/jacuzzi bar wasn't open - however, we do appreciate we arrived very early before peak season. (we were looking forward to using it). Shower is a little small - but manageable.

We spent ten unforgettable days at Mouikis Hotel in Kefalonia. The staff there was incredibly welcoming, extremely kind and always available for the guests. The whole premise was just spotless and well organized. We had abundant and yummy breakfasts as well as AMAZING cocktails on the roof garden where we could enjoy the stunning view, use the jacuzzi and chill out on the sunbeds after spending the whole day out. The terrace is definitely the gem of Mouikis Hotel. We met Andreas, a very nice and highly professional bartender. Besides his great capabilities in making delicious cocktails, he immediately stood out for his kindness and good manners. We couldn't recommend this place highly enough! Tonia and Graziano

Excellent location, right by the sea and harbour where you can see the sea turtles every morning. Breakfast was a decent selection of cooked items, bread/toast, eggs, fresh and grilled veg, cereals and cakes. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. Our room was cleaned immaculately and night clothes even folded beautifully into concertina shapes, which made us feel very special. Thank you to the wonderful cleaner who did this! Even though Kefalonia and Argostoli itself have so much to offer for every hour of your stay, we spent one afternoon lounging on the rooftop terrace, which was also very pleasant as there’s a nice bar there and an even nicer bartender. Overall, a much recommended place.

Location excellent with harbour, lake & mountain views. Walking distance of many excellent restaurants & central square area. Also the sighting of the famous Agostoli turtles in the harbour opposite the hotel was amazing. Hotel staff all very friendly & room to a high standard with balcony. Car parking is also available at a reasonable cost.

Staff are great, really friendly and helpful - for example helping arrange car hire for us with virtually no notice. The hotel and room were also spotlessly clean. There is virtually no noise from outside - external soundproofing is great. Loads of tasty breakfast options - full range from healthy to not so healthy.

Internal soundproofing isn't good at all (or wasn't in our room on the top floor). Sound from neighbouring rooms could be heard through the walls and down the corridor which is far from ideal late at night. However, there's obviously a bit of pot luck on who you are placed next to, not everyone will be sandwiched in between a loud child who won't sleep and a merry man who liked to make loud late night phone calls. If you're not a light sleeper you should be fine.

The breakfast buffet was excellent with a brilliant range of Greek and continental options, and the beds were really comfy, the sea view was fantastic. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The rooftop bar was a wonderful place to view the town and relax, day and night.

The only thing we didn’t like was the noise in the corridors, there is no soundproofing so you can hear if other guests are noisy and inconsiderate coming back to their rooms late at night.

The balcony and view really exceeded my expectations - the view was really spectacular. The location was really convenient - a short drive from the airport and plenty of restaurants in walking distance. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. The roof top is a really nice feature! The weather wasn't super warm when I went, but I can imagine I would have spent a lot more time up there in the summer months.

Firstly, massive shout out to Marcus at the front desk. He always wore a mask, and every time we saw him, we could see him smiling behind the mask. He was incredibly friendly and helpful. We stayed a few nights, and the room, although a bit small, was great for our stay - clean and had everything we needed with a kettle and tea. The breakfast buffet was really good. The location is in the centre of town and is very close to everything. The view on the rooftop is great.

The hot tub on the roof could have been warmer. It doesn't look like you can change the temperature.
