Hotel Burg Trendelburg

We loved our stay! The staff was so warm, welcoming, and helpful. The hotel was clean and comfortable. We would recommend for other travelers coming via public transportation to download the NVV (nvv.de/en) app or use the website to find available bus routes to take once arriving by train a few towns over. The hotel is off the beaten path (which is part of the charm of it and makes it so special!). Staff went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our stay and were able to figure out transportation to and from the location.

The hotel/castle was an excellent place to stay. The staff made every effort to make sure we were served well in dining and the room had little extras that made our impression a good one.

Although the bathrooms were small, it is a castle and we understand that you can't do too much changing without destroying the original nature of such a monument. Internet was spotty due to the thickness of the floors.

The staff were amazing and they went out of their way to accommodate us. The place itself was really pretty and the room had a lot of additional details and touches that made it stand out such as heart towels and rose petals on the bed.

The room was very warm at night, appreciate it is an old building, perhaps a fan in the room in the summer months may help.

It is a lovely place to stay which will be interesting for both kids and adults. This is a great experience to stay in an actual castle where everything is arranged with love to history and fairy tales. Breakfast was delicious and it was served in the atmospheric places. As a great bonus you can access the tower decorated inside with fairy taile motifs.

OMG. Book this now. I had high expectations and this exceeded them on every count. They did all the basic hotel things great- professional staff, late check-ins allowed, comfortable and beautiful beds, good water pressure, excellent restaurant (though I didn't try their breakfast). On top of that, the value from the location and the awesome decor made this the perfect stop on the fairytale road, and I will be recommending it to others in future.

Wifi was so-so, but given the location, no complaints. Lots of stairs, if that's something that bothers you.

Loved the medieval atmosphere. Was such an amazing location and was like living in a fairytale. The staff were amazing and friendly . The food was absolutely delicious. Was everything I thought it would be and more.

Wish the bed was a bit more comfortable and that there was a fan in the room as was very warm.

It is a very romantic place, our four poster bed was made up with heart-shaped towels and rose.petals on top. The views from the windows, restaurant and terrace are gorgeous and the service is impeccable!

It's a castle and therefore a little quirky. An elevator would have been nice .

The hotel is fabulous. Wonderful atmospheric building, which is beautifully maintained, gorgeous areas to sit outside when the weather allows, nice views. A tower to climb for even better views. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and there's a lot of attention to detail. The food at the restaurant is very good, we are there both evenings

The mattresses on the beds were not very comfortable.

Amazing location, romantic setting, excellent food at the restaurant. Would. Recommend eating there. Sauna is very nice as well.

Mobile reception was poor, wifi wasn't the best either. But let's face it, if you boo a room here you weren't coming for the internet.

Your staff was very helpful and friendly. The chef did an amazing job on the dinner. Our triplets grandchildren celebrated their 15th birthday on 1-7 and your staff provided a little birthday celebration for them. Thank you very much.
