Good location for a first stop if you come with the evening ferry from Sweden. Good communication regarding late arrival. Nice room and good breakfast. Also access to large terrace. Parking space close.

I liked the location and the empty field in front of the hotel to play. Also the common room to spend time with my friends.

Extremely friendly staff, comfy bed and room, very clean, family friendly. They offer a small variety of warm dishes for dinner which is awesome when you want to stay at the hotel for the evening.
Unfortunately breakfast was delayed to 8 which meant that we had to leave without in order to make it to the ferry - we’ve been told that some staff fell sick so it isn’t really sth that could have been changed.

Very quiet room. the hotel is surrounded by nature. nice playground for the children. very good breakfast. The staffs are very nice and helpful. 24 hours coffee and hot water facility.
I haven't found the lift in the hotels. so with a baby stroller, people might think about it. only with car and cycle are easy to access.

Hotel was completely unstaffed when I arrived (access to room key via lockbox worked) and there were no facilities at the hotel (e.g. food, restaurant or bar) other than a vending machine.

The hotel is far from any facilities, it's in the middle of the woods. It was very rough to get to the hotel by bus, the station is away and you had to walk on a rough road to reach the hotel. Once we were there the reception was full of cigarettes smoke. Me and my family are allergic. With the bad location and the smoke smell we wanted to cancel our booking and get a partial refund. The hotel management weren't flexible to accept the condition of my old parents and that the hotel is totally inconvenient for them. They refused to refund any amount and charged us 100% for the two rooms for two nights. We left after an hour and half of negotiations and reaching nothing with them. It was one of the most bad experiences I ever had.

The Staphel hotel was closed for maintenance and we were asked to check in in another hotel, which quality was not as good as the one of Staphel. The rooms were small, not clean. Booking.com permitted to book a closed hotel!
