THE 4YOU Hostel & Hotel Munich

Great location near to Central Train Station. Shower very powerful and single room comfortable with own bathroom.

WiFi was bad. Didn't work in room at all (406) and sitting right by reception service was ok at times, but kept cutting out. Wish they would get it fixed instead of always saying that it is in the process of being repaired. Older reviews state the same WiFi issues. Staff on reception are not the best. Walk away when they see you standing there and are not the most friendly.

Location: very close to the Hbf. Easy to find. You exit in direction of Arnulfstr., cross the street turn left and after a sing "Sixt", under a sign "Fan area" turn into a little passage that leads up to the hostel. The U-bahn station is also right there. Very convenient. There are Rewe and Aldi grocery stores in a tall brick building nearby. A 10-15 min walk to the Marienplatz. Room: was staying in a 12-bed room and it was actually ok. Almost all the guests were respectful to each other, tried to be quite and nice. Bed: the mattress was nice, the pillow big and soft. The bed was already made upon arrival (super nice), you just need to take care of the bed clothes when checking-out. No towel provided. The bed has a little overhead light and a socket and a locker under the bed. Facilities: there was no guest kitchen but they give coupons for free drinks. A drink of your choice a day. Very nice :) There is a bar with a nice terrace, and a little area with tables and a coffee machine. One WC on the floor that had 3 showers (strangely engineered but manageable), 3 toilet seats and 3 + 1 sinks. They told me you could borrow a hair dryer at the reception. Staff: cleaning, bar, reception guys were really friendly and nice (at least the ones I got to interact with) :) Special thanks to the receptionist Laura for being the most helpful and knowledgeable!!!

Bed: would be nice with some curtain around the bed for some privacy. My bed was open in all directions.

This hostel was very convinetly located by the train station, which was perfect for me as I was arriving by train and departing by train early in the morning, so I didn't have to get up too much earlier to not miss my train. There was a lift for bringing my bags up, and I used the stairs the rest of the time. The accomidations were on par with a hostel, so not the nicest hotel I've stayed at but clean and servicable, and very cheap for a single room. The staff were nice, and it was nice they gave you two free drink tickets so you vould get a water or juice.

There were no curtains on my window,which I thought was weird. I had to change in the bathroom so that the people on the street and in the building across from me didn't see anything, and thankfully I had to leave early the next morning before the sun rose, so the sunlight didn't wake me up or anything. There was an area where it looked like there used to be curtains, so maybe this was just a fluke for my room.

Toilets and showers outside the bedroom. Bed has its own light and power socket. A free drink for each night you stay.

Poor internet, not sue why but a previous stay was great this time internet was very poor

Excellent location right next to the bus and train stations in Munich. It snowed massively while I was here and it was easy to get to the underground tunnels to find transit and food. Showers had plenty of pressure and hot water. You get a free drink for every day you stay! Staff was friendly and helpful. The in-hostel bar is cozy, friendly, and not open 24h so there isn't noise all night. Breakfast is cheap (especially if you buy it ahead of time) and much better than average.

The facilities, while very clean, have an 80s summer camp vibe (you may be into this). There's no kitchen, so no way to cook your own food, and filling your water bottle can be hard if you have a large one (I went into the basement to do so). There's limited common space once the bar closes

The bathrooms were not really convenient, no much room, no shelves to put down stuff - and no kitchen!! Not even a microwave, which is unusual for a hostel.

First and foremost, it’s location. It’s like 3/4 mins walk from the Munich Hbf. So, you can go anywhere at your convenience. The room was pretty neat and clean. They provided blankets and pillow cover for free. There were charging ports in every bed. The washroom was clean as well. The staffs were friendly and helpful. They provide breakfast at relatively cheap price. There is a common room where you can play kicker or just can have conversations with your fellow travelers. They provide a free drinks for each check in.

During the summer, I recommend to bring your own USB fan. It can get warm, specially when you share your room with few other people. They have chargers at every bed but the USB chargers don’t work in most cases. The rate for borrowing the towels is high (3 euros each).

The breakfast was very good the girls of the buffet are excellent and outstanding, I recommend to Tati is a worker who cares that the guest is well and help in any concerns I recommend, I would go back for her!! The location is very good in the center of Munich, the toilet very well, keeps it clean, asean it every day because I’ve seen it, the rooms vacuum them too, change the garbage every day, are aware of everything.

In the bathroom, put shelves to put things, because it really is very uncomfortable because there aren't any, with room 205 we thought that someone had died, but this is not the case depending on whether a person stays, but the 7 days that I stayed in the corridor and That room smelled dead so I don't recommend staying on the second floor. At the reception a brunette girl who attends and has an unprofessional cleaning appearance to attend with a fetid smell, I indicate that the one that the coffee maker was without water and she sends me to the bar, but the other workers are very good.

Location is great. Hostel is nice, rooms are warm and clean.

This is only one problem I had about hostel that there is no hot water in the bathroom.So I couldn’t have a shower. I told receptionists this situation but they said me that this is normal, not cold, we didn’t get any negative feed back from other our customers. I think this is rude and they ignored this problem. And I asked a girl who stays in hostel this situation, she said same thing like me but she had a shower because she has to have! I stayed one night at this hostel in Munich, if I have to stay longer, I would change hostel only this problem. Maybe we can’t say the water is cold but we can say that it was too cold to have a shower!

Everything was good. Only the lift is ery slow and straicase access only works down to the lobby. Also can not use stairs to access the floos from the lobby. Breakfast was very good for a budget price. Location is excellent.

The fact I had to use the very slow lift. Stairs can only be used down from your floor and only reception is accessible on e you on the stairs. I got locked out on the stairs and had to go all the way down to go back up with the lift. They have a huge area in the basement where they do the breakfast with an outdoors area for smokers and they do not use it for the pub.
