ACHAT Hotel Magdeburg

Very clean room, hotel in convenient location, good breakfast. Overall very good experience but a few small things could have made it better: (1) pool was closed when we arrived due to technical issues, (2) no kettle in the room, (3) restaurant very small and busy when we arrived, nowhere really to have a nice meal with children… also (4) we arrived with a dog and not much space around hotel to walk the dog, lawns by blocks of flats etc but a bonus a nice playground nearby which we were not expecting. Overall good stay..

We arrived late at night and the lady at the reception desk was very friendly and helpful. We were offered and gladly accepted a free room upgrade for free, so that our child could sleep in a separate room. Hotel location is close to the motorway, so there is no need to drive into the city. Breakfast was great! Thank you for the exceptional service!

The new name of the hotel is different now since changed a few weeks ago, so we were a bit confused to see a different sign outside of it when arriving to the hotel address.

The hotel gives a feeling of spaciousness upon entering, excellent value for money (booked many months in advance), free parking around the building. Hairdryer in the bathroom.

The general hotel style is a bit outdated and some things in the hotel were old or worn (like the button for the shower); there was only sparkling water in the room. On the other hand, they did not answer the questions I asked through the booking chat with the hotel itself. Having several stars, they should take care of those details a bit. For the rest everything ok.

Big, comfortable room

Personel was very unkind with us. We though that Germany will meet us in a very kind emotions. We have arrived a bit after midnight, and woman looked at us in a strange way - no "Good evening" or "Hi". I showed my ID and she said "I don't know, no booking." Stress level started to raise for us. I tried to explain, told the booking number from booking.com and she was acting like "what are doing here, juat go away". But administrator couldn't talk in english at all after I insist to check because we have a booking. Fortunately she found our booking. We have wrote that we prefer to get double bed and this is our honeymoon travel through Europe, but stuff doesn't cared about clients so we got twin room :)

A very convenient location for transit tourists (the suburbs of the city, close to the motorway). For those who need markets Netto and Aldi are nearby. There is a big free parking lot -some cars can be parked in front of the hotel and many more around it. Besides, there is an underground garage (charges apply). The room was big enough. The breakfast was OK.

A basic hotel, more like a good 3 star one. It's a pity that the swimming pool was closed (but we knew that when booking)

It was a pleasure to stay at this hotel. The facilities are nice, rooms are clean with comfortable beds. Bathroom was well equipped with everything necessary to keep personal hygiene. Breakfast was reach of different food and snacks. The very big advantage of this hotel is small private parking and small but nice SPA with a small swimming pool. I recommend this hotel for each Magdeburg visitors.

Nice hotel, friendly staff. Very helpful at reception. Good breakfast and evening bar. Wellness area was nice but the water was very cold.

Rooms where not cleaned for duration of stay, 5 days. Mattress was very hard. TV could only be seen from one side of the bed, we had to move it. Bar staff did wear nose/mouth masks but he often did not cover his nose. Although there where signs to say Mouth / Nose masks must be worm in public areas of the hotel many guest ignored this, very unsettling considering the rise the Covid numbers and staff did not enforce it.

This will be my most positive revue for some time. The crown goes to everybody of the staff !! The minute we arrived at the hotel we were treated like in a Ritz or Shangri-La. The night receptionist came to the underground car park to help as we had some technical difficulties - he just saw it on the monitoring and came. Friendly check-in, then a last minute night cap at the bar. After 7 h of driving we dreamt of a gin-tonoc with a slice of cucumber. No cucumber at the bar, but the barman and the receptionist went to the kitchen to get it for us !!! We arrived too late for breakfast , the buffet was being taken away - but immediately the lady maitre-d'hôtel asked us to sit down and they would bring us a large choice of everything and freshly brewed coffee. Check out with a very friendly lady and we left with the feeling that we lived an experience out of this time. THIS is the art of receiving guests and making them comfortable , thank you for the staff and the owners who attach so much value to this. In November we will be driving from Poland to Paris . I already made a reservation at a Michel Hotel in Wetzlar :):):)

Very clean, comfortable beds, good breakfast. Nice bar to have a drink. Good only for one night stay on the way.

Far location, need to pay for the parking, very very bad dinner (no a la carte dinner). Need to go by car to some restorant. We have payed for the garage parking, because there were no places outside, but the parking was free to leave.

Close to our temporary work place and the city was easy to reach Great facility with pool and sauna Great breakfasts

The hotel restaurant waitress was super slow and unpleasant, one night I waited 30 mins with a baby to pay, second night we waited 30 mins and she still has not even noticed us- we went fir pizza that night and never eaten there again
