Lindner Hotel Hamburg Hagenbeck, part of JdV by Hyatt

This is a nice business hotel. Good parking and access in Hamburg.

a) It lacks the charm that a couple would want for a romantic weekend. The bar and restaurant are not cozy or intimate ... like I said, it's a business hotel and good for that. b) The breakfast is WILDLY over priced at 26 Euros per person ... easily 2x the customary rate. c) Hot water in the sink and shower were in VERY short supply. Had to run the water for a couple of minutes to get hot water and then it didn't last long. This happened all 3 days we were there.

Hotel decor is great. Room was lovely, spacious, clean and loved the decor. Bed and pillows were comfy. Location was perfect for where we needed, and was right beside the zoo and the zoo train station. Staff were friendly at reception. Would definitely stay again if attending an event at the Arena. Restaurant and bar are not open on Sunday's unfortunately so can't comment on that. Bar area was nice though.

My entire experience from check-in to checking out was wonderful. Had dinner at the in house Restaurant and the food was brilliant. The bar has got a nice cozy feel, and it makes you want to stick around. The room was really spacious, unique deco more on the lines of an African Safari/tribal feel. The staff are very polite and helpful.

The staff were very helpful. The location and hotel are great. Walking distance to the train/subway. The room was massive . It has a great coffee machine in the room. The bathroom was also very large

The TV in the room was great and had issues. Also no English channels. The bath slow drained away. The breakfast is pricey.

The breakfast was served in the main restaurant. The food was fantastic quality and really helpful staff. The restaurant is quite big, but nicely set out for privacy; there is also a terrace so as to enjoy the fresh air too.

The hotel is near a busy road and there is some road noise at night time if you are a light sleeper

We went to the Hargenbeck Tierpark that is very near from the hotel, and we bought tickets of the zoo in 20% dicount price. The wall paintings and ornaments are themed around animals and cultures from around the world, so that not only children but also aduts can be interessed in them. Breakfast was also excellent.

The hotel staff and accommodations were excellent. Even though I only speak english the staff was patient and also spoke English. The breakfast was fantastic with many choices and the dining area was spacious. The location to Hagenbeck was great.

The dinner menu could have had a few more selections. What they did have was very good though and the chips were excellent.

All the experience was amazing, from the check-in, where my kid got to do her own check-in and go to choose a little gift from the pirate treasure, to the fantastic breakfast buffet and the incredible kindness and helpfullness of all the staff.

Perfect location right next to the zoo. The staff and food are lovely. The ambiance is very intriguing and the rooms are beautiful.

Tiny towels and the water pressure was not great. The overall cleanliness is good but I wish they would look into the corners a bit closer. For the price of the room I would expect a free water bottle and not be charged for it.

A well organized, exceptionally clean hotel, with great atmosphere and wonderful themes and decor, inspired by the African wildlife. I was impressed by the ingenuity of those they designed the decoration of the interior. The Jungle and the African wildlife imprint is everywhere. The room was spacious, and everything was in the right place to serve the purpose. WiFi: fast and reliable everywhere in the hotel. The staff was extremely friendly, courteous and professional. The underground parking is a big asset with the exuberant parking spaces. I gave the breakfast a 9. If they had managed to have some bacon with the variety of eggs, I would have given the 10! Despite the corona situation, I think this hotel has the potential of a really excellent breakfast. Bottom line: Completely satisfied, I recommend this hotel!!!

The underground parking was a little expensive (22 Euro per day)
