B&B Hotel Dortmund-City

Initially assigned a room at front of hotel, which was noisy, but receptionist changed this on request for a quiet room at the back of the hotel. Beds comfortable, surprisingly good breakfast for 10 Euros each. Overall value for money. English spoken, staff were pleasant and helpful.

Booking.com website advised that private parking was available but could not be booked. B&B Hotels website advised that 11 spaces private parking were available, no mention of requirement to book. On arrival we were advised that all spaces were taken and that we should have reserved a space. So clearly a disconnect somewhere! Parking is available in a public carpark opposite, for 28 Euros. (14 euros until midnight and another 14 Euros for next day....)

Great modern hotel with friendly staff who checked me in earlier which was nice. modern rooms with great air con which is quiet. window fully opens in the room and a solid shower with a decent toilet with a proper flush. great stay however sound from other rooms does seem to penetrate into the room if you know what I mean. fairly close to the train station and close to Lidl, would use again if I had to

it’s still unclear if this hotel offers luggage storage? not sure if this could be addressed on the policies section, and maybe a kettle and a proper glass in the room, should be standard when paying the asking prices of the hotel

Easy check in and out, clean room.

There was no hotel parking, as states in booking.com. Parking was the main reason we've chosen this hotel. But on arrival, we were told there is parking space just for 8 cars and we have to use city parking spaces. That wouldnt have been a problem, but you have to pay since 7am next day. Cant think about anything worse than getting up at 7am after long drive, just to pay for parki g.

STAFF - Hotel manager Caroline and night personnel Andrea were very helpful and accommodating, spoke in clear English. LOCATION - 10min leisurely walk to central station, 4min walk to nearest Ubahn. WIFI - signal was strong during our stay. SERVICE - we arrived early since we had to check-out of another hotel in the area and were just planning to leave our bags but Caroline let us do early check-in since there was already a room available, she also kept our bags safe after check-out while we spent our last few hours walking around waiting for our train. Andrea was very patient with answering our questions and even researched which activities we can do given that we were there Sunday and Monday holiday when most shops are closed. She gave us written directions for taking the Ubahn and even called one of the establishments to ask if they will be open. We did the stadium tour like you suggested and ended up taking the Ubahn back so thank you so much! ROOM - cardless entry, well-kept, nice design. Floor to ceiling glass windows gave a bright and airy feel. Extra shelf space, hangers, and wall hooks for coats were appreciated. Stayed on the 4th floor with room facing street, hardly heard outside noise as long as windows are closed. Hot water and water pressure were good and the bathroom smelled nice. BUILDING AND LOBBY - cozy, nice design.

Kettle and small fridge would be nice to have. TV can have more English channels other than the current 3 we found (news, sports, music).

Great location, clean room, shower, towel and bed. I think at this price, it is the best offer in Dortmund.

I already paid for my booking but when I reached the hotel, i checked in on the computer and it wanted me to pay one more time. I think it is a technical issue, and fortunately i was sure that i made the payment beforehand. The receptionist girl came for help we she checked us in manually. Please be careful, if you made the payment, directly go to the reception, dont try to check in via computer at the entrance.

We arrived late at Dortmund Airport and B&B hotel location was just perfect for us, 5 mins walk from the bus stop where the Airport Express from Dortmund Airport arrives. The next morning we needed to go out of Dortmund by train and it was perfect as well. Despite the central location the room was quiet, the check-in/out procedure fast and smooth, and the room had all needed facilities for 1 night comfortable stay. It was clean and well maintained. We needed nothing more. Additional plus for family rooms - not very common in the hotels around Dortmund city center. We did not try the hotel breakfast - the train station is full of cafes and bakeries, we had breakfast in one of those. Would definitely recommend to anyone who needs a stopover near the central station.

Nothing to complain about

It is exactly what you will expect from B&B hotel. I arrived there at 11pm and the staff is friendly and professional. He said "please tell me imediately if you encounter any problem, e.g. noise from a neighboring room". The room is quiet; the bed is comfortable; the curtain is blackout. It's quite friendly to those with sleep problem like me. I also found the design in the room quite interesting ;-)

The point in the Booking application is incorrect - the hotel is a little further, across the street from the Leonardo hotel. Look for the route on google maps. Good hotel for one night, close to train station and shopping streets. The girl from the hotel helped call a local taxi because Uber couldn't find anyone to ride.

The hotel was a few minutes walk from the train station and the town centre. It is located a short walk away, so there was no street noise or traffic to worry about. The staff I spoke to were very nice and had a very good level of English which helped for the check-in process.

Really nice rooms and hoter fot that price. Clean and comfortable apartments.

Only one thing. Parking, table with a warning was tiny and hidden behind bigger car so we didn't notice it. Personal said nothing about parking around, it should be a matter of course. So we had fine morning. When we said jt to personal, woman said that she can reserve us parking for another night for 8€ when we goies to check parking automat there was nights 19:00-7:00 for free. So i don't what parking what she wanted to reserve us for 8€...but everything else was okay..
