Hotel Alt - Tegel

A perfect gem!! Ok this isn't your fancy all included services hotel. But it's totally adorable. Rooms are a good size. We had a balcony that faced the courtyard. It was super quiet. The shower was TOP notch. Super clean! Friendly staff! And right down stairs were more cafes, bakeries and ice cream places you could ever need. Half a block away from the U-bahn (subway) which is a straight ride into downtown Berlin and another block away is a good sized shopping center. A couple of blocks the other way is the lake and a good forest hike. This location is superb and this hotel is just delightful. I will definitely stay here again.

Easy check in with the box outside. The pillows were fabulous, ask the owner next day who the supplier was...getting some myself ! Very quiet, considering the main road is around the corner and we had a street facing room with a balcony. Come out of the hotel, turn left and then left again and in 10 minutes you are at the lake, actually at Greenwich promenade with an English phonebox and mailbox ! Work out the history behind it yourself!

A bit dark, but it is winter and it was a grey sky most of the time...so no falt on the hotel side.

The hotel was very good nice & comfortable staff were friendly it was a nice area with many cafés & restaurants with tree lined streets- A great place to stay and will hopefully stay again next year - thank you a wonderful stay Regards Ian

The room was large and well thought-out. It was really convenient for getting ready in the morning. The location within the Tegel neighborhood was perfect. And the value for money was fantastic!

It would have been nice for the cafe to be open, mainly to have access to coffee.

The hotel is in a great location, and the staff at reception are very welcoming and helpful. I have already booked a return visit.

There was nothing that I didn't like.

Great location, helpful staff, clean room in a retro style which I like. We were lucky that we could park in the inner yard.

There was no wi-fi in the room, just hotspot at the entry which didn't work.

Following the airline changing my flight, I suddenly needed a last-minute accomodation in Berlin for one night. It was great to find this place which has automated check-in. Located a few minutes away from a lake - not the prettiest but still makes for a nice walk

Not exactly dirty, but the carpet floor can definitely use a refresh and under the bed wasn't clean. Location isn't great if you want to visit the city, but I took it because my Flixbus was supposed to leave from right next door. The automated check-in needs clearer instructions - I've seen other comments of people who struggled and I'm guessing they made the same mistake I did, thinking the keyboard next to the screen was where to enter the PIN I had received by email. Turns out you just type in on the screen directly - which is not directly obvious because the numbers appear so small vs. the size of the screen that it seems like a mere indicationt to type on the actual keyboard rather than a virtual keyboard. However, I was able to use the bell and someone talked me through it right away. Paying > €90 for one night in a small room outside the center seems like a bit much...
