Zenao Troyes

Very convenient to visit the old centre, but in a quiet area just on the outskirts. Beautiful view of the canal from the room. The room was spotlessly clean and had a sofa which meant you weren’t obliged to sit on the bed to watch the tv. Wifi was good. Breakfast was basic but ample and not expensive. Would gladly return if we come to Troyes again,

The entrance looked like a bit of a bomb site….but it was a site that was being developed. No one is on the desk until 4pm. They say that if you arrive early you can leave your bags safely and go into town. However there was no one there when we arrived at 3pm so we had to kill time until 4pm. (No great ordeal)

The room was large and had lovely windows overlooking the river. It was clean and not too far from town. There was parking and decent facilities. It had the best black out blinds ever and we slept quite late.

For some reason we missed that it was in an old people’s home, which was a little strange. The bed was quite soft and only one pillow each was provided. We were at the end of a very long bright corridor, probably miles from the hub, and the Wi-Fi was pretty much non existent. Check in is at 4pm and check out is at 10am which is a bit ridiculous. It doesn’t take 6 hours to clean one room and a toilet. 3pm and 11am would still allow 4 hours to clean which is 2 hours more than us needed.

Room great, plenty of space and bed very comfortable. Clean and tidy and even a little balcony and great that there a fridge with little icebox too for holding our chilled items and drinks. Close to the town centre so easy to walk in. Also pet friendly which is great as we travel with a dog.

It was very hot whilst we were there and no air conditioning which would have been better…even if we were supplied with a mobile unit. There was a plug in fan so that helped a little. We were not notified of the fact that there was no free parking on site as the car parking area was closed off which meant we had to use the underground parking for a small fee. Would have been nice to have been notified of this before arrival as five weeks before we were able to park on-site for free.

Short walk from the beautiful, bustling city centre and cathedral. Really friendly staff member who very kindly spoke English and gave us directions into Troyes centre. Very clean appartment with comfortable beds. Plenty of towels and hot water. Great for sleeping as you're able to keep the rooms dark due to electric shutters and curtains. Underground parking extremely useful. Would recommend; and definitely visit historical Troyes centre.

The photos infer that there is an outdoor green space which would have been good for the dog, but this didn't seem to be the case when we got there. The hotel seemed to be on the site of an old factory so some of the outdoor space looked derelict and was fenced off. They had retained the old factory chimney which did add a little charm I guess. The description infers that you'd probably get a view or a balcony. We rented 2 rooms, neither of which had a view or a balcony. Our room looked out acroos a roof which was always covered with pigeons and we could also see the remains of the derelict factory buildings. Luckily, we were not there for the view and enjoyed the evening in the centre and along the river.

This is an excellent option for a short stay in Troyes. We were greeted efficiently by a friendly receptionist and told how to get to our room. We also paid an extra 5 euros to use the underground car park which was great. There are a mix of private and rented apartments and the reception is shared with a residence for elderly people which was a bit confusing at first but absolutely fine. The room was great - clean and modern with a sitting room area and kitchen, big windows and a small balcony overlooking the canal with a view of the cathedral. We had a very comfortable and quiet night. It's a very short walk to the old town and cathedral, then a few minutes further to the main restaurant street. We will definitely use this place again.

Everything was great. Although I'm not keen on the shower with no curtain so the bathroom gets very wet when you use the shower.

Very clean, quiet and spacious, and exceptionally good value. The room is within a residential home for elder people so please be aware of that. For us it was ideal though, there was parking and a large comfy room and very friendly and helpful staff. It was a stopover for us as we drove through France and we would highly recommend it to anyone doing the same. Breakfast was so-so but for that price, it was amazing to get breakfast at all! Very very good value.

Staff at reception Moon was so friendly and excellent PR skills. Shower hose broke while showering which was a real inconvenience but once informed was put right. The restaurant lady,(sorry I didn't catch your name) prepared us the take way food and she was excellent .this was beyond our expectations. T hank you

The room was smelling very damp or had not been occupied for some time. Had to leave the doors open for a long time to get the smell out. The kettle was not working either.only one tea cup for 2 people. Hope these can be looked in to ,to match the excellent staff. Thank you

Clean, bright, spacious Incredible view over the river. Parking space, therefore easy to access without going into town centre. (This was main reason we stayed here) Easy and very nice walk into town. Quiet (because it's for senior people)

Make it much more obvious in property title that the property is really only for seniors. (We did notice this before booking- but was not sure exactly how it would be) As a young couple had no issues - but it a quite weird to be staying in a senior's residential. Therefore as it's for seniors... The toilet is so high made for disabled access. You have to use the bin to put your feet under to comfortably use toilet. The shower is open floor access. No hairdryer. The bed could do with a new mattress. Sofa could be cleaned. Very clinical design (can feel a little spooky)

A spacious apartment with a full kitchen, living room/diner. Large bed with socket next to bed. Great view of the old mill and river, electric metal shutters to completely block out the light, I was in total darkness. Easy system for entry and exit and parking under apartment was safe and easy Not a long walk into town, about 20 minutes

No one on reception when I left, always good to say goodbye and pass on thanks

The dog friendly apartment was spacious, clean and an ideal location to be able to explore Troyes by foot. The kitchenette had most things needed to be able to create a simple meal. The bed was firm and the pillows were great for a good nights sleep. Having a car laden with our things, it was useful to be able to park in the secure underground car park.

no dislikes but a toaster would be useful
