Best Western Plus Hotel des Francs

Location is in a lovely old part of town looking out into the ruined towers from the terrace. Pool is small but nice to refresh after a drive, also has a steam room. Room was good with plenty of hanging space. Very quiet even with a room facing the road.

Underground parking is narrow. Menu is nice but descriptions of the food are quite poor, in any language! So you are guessing how the food will come. In room coffee / tea very basic and only one tiny milk carton.

We stayed at the Hotel as we had a wedding to attend, the hotel was close to the venue and within walking distance to all amenities in town. The staff were exceptional, no requests were too much trouble for them😊👍 We had to book taxis at the last minute due to change of plans, and the reception team were excellent in arranging taxis for us be it Night or day, and the taxi company used were great as we'll.The staff are fluent in English which we very much appreciated.

We didn't have breakfast. We did have drinks on the veranda, which was very pleasant. The location of the hotel in a quiet, ,leafy road with a view of the Abbey was something we appreciated.

We had dinner at the hotel and I was sorry to find that there was no vegetarian option on the set menu. Also that sesame seeds were added to the vegetarian salad on the a la carte menu without prior consultation regarding allergies. Unfortunately, overall we were quite disappointed by the quality of the food we ate.

On site parking and walking distance to the center of the city is what made this an attractive option for us. The room was spacious by French standards as was the bath. It was our best rooms out of 12 different hotels in the $90-$140 price range. We did not take advantage of the breakfast but I stopped by to look it over and there were scrambled eggs and bacon and all the normal French items to eat. We just wanted to do a little exploring that morning.

The location is excellent, just five minutes walk from the Center of Soissons, which is a beautiful city. The location is peaceful and quiet during the night The hotel is comfortable, my exec. room looked at the old Abbey (also stunning) including a terrace. Excellent is also the underground carpark, breakfast is more than the usual simple French 'Le petit déjeuner' just with Croisants etc. !

Great hotel in Soissons. Close to town centre. Friendly welcoming staff. Good size bedroom. comfortable bed. We had dinner in the restaurant which was very good. Nice terrace to enjoy drinks outside beforehand. Lovely to see the Head Waitress training up new staff. It’s so much more than the casual/student job that it is in the UK. We would have no hesitation in recommending the hotel to others.

lovely modern hotel with large rooms and good location. vey clean and well designed.

we had trouble with the air con but were told it was fine even though we felt it was too hot, couldn’t close shutters and remote did not work and despite having a double room for two we only got one set of towels and when we asked for this to be rectified , we had to collect them ourselves.

Comfortable room, separate WC, nice shower room. Few minutes walk from Soissons beautiful abbey ruins and the centre. Lovely area. The staff were very helpful and polite. We were fortunate to be in Soissons the night before Bastille Day so we're able to view a wonderful fireworks display at the abbey from the hotel terrace, after watching the parade in the town.

Excellent plush room with a really comfy bed. I had the balcony which was good to sit at night with a view of the cathedral. Good restaurant and very friendly and helpful staff. Safe, secure parking beneath hotel for my motorbike.

The staff was excellent. Very friendly, charming and professional. The room was quiet and comfortable, and the restaurant food was wonderful.

The open-style shower was not my cup of tea. If you shower, then the water has a tendency to spread on most of the bathroom floor, and you have to be very careful about it.
