Conveniently located on route to elsewhere, this accommodation was perfect. We booked this spontaneously while being on the road. They quickly got in touch with us, recommending a place for dinner on way to their location. The hosts were both incredibly kind, receiving us late in the evening, serving breakfast in the morning and telling anecdotes about the house and the region. The house is surrounded by a park-like garden and radiates the charm of its greater past.

We did not mind at all, but the interior design is dated.

Really peaceful location with great facilities - good rest after a long drive. Felt like being hosted at a more upmarket hotel despite budget price which was really nice. Large comfortable rooms with kettle and tea, coffee and bottled sparkling/still water. Very classy. Fantastic showers. Friendly welcoming hosts.

Slightly tired and dated feel especially to bathrooms. Breakfast could have more variety when compared to other places we stayed in France but satisfactory. Tea coffee in room but no milk - not a big deal, just a suggestion. Still very nice, just some updates to be perfect!

We had not expected this accommodation to be as good as it was. The room was huge! Rita is an exceptional host who makes sure everything is just so. Quietly located beside a canal and only 15 mins by car from St Quentin where there are many options for evening meals. There is also a water park at the property, which might interest families.

Rooms could have been a bit brighter, they're a bit brown.....not that this affected our stay.

This family hotel is located within easy reach (by car) of the A26 and Saint-Quentin and provided an ideal stop-over on the drive from Switzerland to the UK. It's an old house of character, meticulously maintained with a beautiful garden and children's play area. The rooms are large, well furnished, with excellent double-bed and shower. Breakfast, both cooked and continental, was wonderful, with everything fresh. There's no restaurant in the hotel, but it's a short drive to Saint-Quentin where there's plenty of choice.

The TV in the room was of a different era, but I did not use it.

Rita was very welcoming. We arrived after a long drive and were shown around the lovely property, which has been owned by her husband’s family for three generations. The grounds are beautiful and although not open to the general public in the winter months we had a lovely walk around the lake. The rooms were large, comfortable and spotlessly clean with powerful showers. We had to leave very early the following morning, before the local bakery delivery. Rita kindly left juice, cake and fruit for us, so we were not hungry on our journey.

Very friendly owners who made us feel very welcome, even before we arrived. The grounds are well kept with a nostalgic feel of holidays of a bygone era. Our room was very well kept and orderly and breakfast was basic but enough to get us on our way. All in all we were very happy with our stay and look forward to stay again.

nothing to report.

Very friendly staff. Very calm atmosphere in the parc in the evening. Rooms were spacious.

It is not easy to find a meal in the area, when you are travelling by bike like I did. There is nothing in the town. And the hotel does not offer meals. The staff was friendly enough to get me a take-away hamburger from a neighbouring town.

Lovely place, superb hosts, and a perfect place to break the long road-trip to Italy. Rita could not have been more helpful, and even send us a missing piece of clothing that our scatterbrained daughter left behind. Breakfast was very generous and good quality, and the grounds of the place are very nice. We really want to come back and spend more time there.

The location is marvelous on a very quiet road next to the "Canal de la Sambre A l'Oise". The rooms are pleasant and spacious. They look out onto the Hotel's park. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. The room had a kettle, tea, coffee, etc, not all hotels in France have these facilities.

The breakfast available was only was only bread and jam
