Best Western Plus Hotel Kregenn

The location of the hotel is very good, some 5 minutes walk and you are near some very good restaurants and a few minutes' walk further and you are in the centre near the cathedral, shops and other restaurants. The breakfast selection is good and plentiful. We had a large room on the third floor with views onto the street.

The windows in the room are large and heavy - however when you opened the windows, there was no method of securing them open and leaving them ajar; they just swung open. This meant that you could clearly see into the properties across the road and they could see you. It would have been helpful to have been provided with a little "wedge" to hold the window open in the position you wanted.

Initial impression was not good but stepping inside it was easy to see that the property had received a heavy investment which succeeded in creating a good ambience. The room was of modest dimensions but designed with efficiency in mind. All in all a good hotel in which to stay for a few days. Easy walk into the old town where there were plenty of restaurants and cafes.

Although car park was part of property, it wasn't very spacious and manoeuvring was tight. The facade of the hotel could do with a facelift.

Far better than I expected! Have had variable experience of Best western but this is probably one of the best I've been to Staff were so friendly and room was just right. Very comfortable and well equipped with great bathroom Hotel right in centre of a beautiful town so easy access (within 5 minutes walk to cathedral) - as it is down a side street, we heard no noise at any time Great breakfast with good choice Excellent parking - safe for motorcycle (and free!!)

the whole property is modern, a very distinct decorative style, quite special, memorable. I loved the outdoor seating area, giving both sun and shade, unbelievably quiet even though so close to the main tourist areas. We are travelling with our new electric bikes on the back of the car and the inside of the car loaded with items for our house in South west France so we really needed secure parking, I was more than happy to leave everything in the car park.

The place was big and clean, conveniently located between the train station and city center. The staff was helpful and there was fresh water available in the lobby. Our room was on the ground floor by the parking lot but we never heard any noises. The room was huge and the bathroom as well.

Excellent, spacious room, perfect central location close to all attractions. Friendly and professional staff. Secure parking. Within easy walking distance of restaurants, bars and cathedral.

There was not a lot of choice if you wanted a cooked breakfast.

It’s location. The room was spacious and very clean. The bed was comfortable. The reception staff were excellent. Car parking was good.

The air con was weak.

Don’t be put off by the street the hotel is in or the exterior. The hotel is lovely inside and staff excellent.

Very comfortable small hotel in a nice town. My room was good; the outlook wasn't special but there is a very nice small garden at the rear. Unusually for hotel this size in France there is a small but decently equipped exercise room. Charming staff. Breakfast good.

Outlook from the room; the street is safe but dreary. Some very tall plumber put the shower mounting too high for me to reach.

Well located hotel, very close to the cathedral but off the busiest roads in the main centre of Quimper. Beautifully redecorated throughout with great modern shower room, stylish furnishings and lovely garden at back. Staff have excellent english. Secure parking next to the hotel.

Not surprisingly, some city centre noise in evening if windows open - though double glazing completely blocks it out.
