Ile du Gua Suites

The room is large, it is called a suite but it is one extra large room with a lovely spa tub in the corner. Plenty of cupboard space, a safe and a kitchenet, a desk and a large bed.

The restaurant, Brasserie du Moulin, that insists on having a reservation even for hotel guests and even when they have space. Personally, I felt their refusal to serve me was more racist than any other logical reason.

This is a fabulous place to stay..the photos on the website are very true to form. The room we had was very spacious, lovely wooden floors, the jacuzzi in the room was fantastic!!.. We had a really spacious terrace where we sat out at night under the stars!!! The shower and bathroom were lovely, good water pressure. The mirror on the wall his the TV! Lovely bar on a terrace. You need to book a table for dinner in advance..we missed it!!

Wifi connection was really bad. The walk into the Town center was a good 12-15 minutes.

The location of the hotel is excellent, quiet place with a lot of green plants around, but close walk to the city center. The rooms are spacious and well equipped (we didn't need the jacuzzi really). The breakfast was plentiful and tasty. The staff was really pleasant and the receptionist helped us a lot by recommending excellent restaurants and beaches. Our daughter was thrilled by the parrots at the reception. The hotel enabled us to charge our electric car from a standard socket in the garage, which was absolutely awesome and we really appreciated it.

We almost couldn't use our terace, as everyday in the morning and in the evening someone was smoking below or next to our balcony. That was something we really didn't like. The garage is a bit tight, but we managed. A slight hurdle was that the hotel didn't inform us that the electric socket, that we were allowed to use to charge our electric car, was supposed to be used also by another visitor. We later learned that the other visitor was very unhappy that we were blocking the spot for 2 days.

Beautiful setting and history to the propert. Large room and comfortable beds. Clean. Owner stopped to talk with us which was pleasant t. Receptionists were really friendly. Easy walking into town.

Hard to see English view of menu in the restaurant. Fitness equipment was outside our door. Not used iwhile we were there but wonder how noisy it would be if they were in use.

the whirlpool in the room was pretty cool. we really liked the view on the garden and the sound of the water. the wooden balconies are really cool and give the sense of a treehouse. breakfast was nice and everybody was super friendly!

some facilities could need a bit of renovation. a little bit more outside offers would be great (e.g. more chairs, sun bed, coffee corner, etc.)

Didnt realise no resturos on mondays... staff helpful but no food is no food. Would have helped if we'd known in advance...

I ask to receive the room before the 14.00 check inn. Even they had a free room to give me before they wanted to charge me 60 euros!!!!!!!!!! is to much!!!!!

The hotel design and cozy layout, next to the canal and the old mill. Great atmosphere
