The location is easy to find and the checkin was good with the helpful staff. Meals at the restaurant was good.

The room was not quite ready when it is said it is ready. Attention shall be paid to the details of the room to make it a pleasant stay, instead we had to walk up and down the stairs to get to the reception for assistance.

A great place to stay if you want to experience life on the Island. Staying there allowed us to visit places before it got too crowded in the streets. The hotel is a three star rated hotel so if you aren't expecting a 5 star service then you will have a great time. The bed was very comfortable to sleep in and the room was a good size. We stayed two nights and I loved every minute of it. Two days allowed me to explore without a rush. The hotel has two properties attached to it Les Terraces Poulard and Ermitage Hotel. We stayed in the Ermitage Hotel which is further up with lovely views. I had a nice view of the Abbey from one window and down one of the streets from the other.

We were on the third floor and it was a bit of a hike with our luggage (but you do get used to it as the whole island has lots of stairs). When we arrived toiletries and water had been forgotten in my room but the desk staff were quick to bring new ones. In my daughter and son-in-laws room there was a problem with lights - when we told them they looked at them and were able to fix one of them but the other needed an electrician who couldn't come until after we left.

The room was comfortable, location was perfect, staff was helpful and polite and breakfast was good. We had a great view of the "Abbey" and the marshes. We even saw the tide come in one day and it was amazing. We slept with the windows open as it was chilly (48-51 degrees f) overnight and were serenated by the "mouettes.' (seagulls)

A bizarre odor that was in the bathroom. i believe it came from the shower drainage. We opened the small bathroom window and closed the bathroom door so that the odor wouldn't enter our sleeping area. However, we would stay there again.

We had two rooms; 309 and 112. Room 309 was breathtaking! It was a triple occupancy in the Ermitage. Room 309 offered one window on each side of the room which provided an incredible cross breeze and views to both the shore and the Abby; it was really spectacular. Room 309 was very spacious as well. Room 112 was very nice with two windows facing out into the alley and was comfortable. Overall, everything was very nice and modern. You can tell that the staff keep everything running smoothly and take pride in maintaining each room.

Room 309 had a very low clearance in the tub and even though we were all short, we'd hit our heads while bathing. Room 112 was extremely hot, since both windows face one direction and exactly where the sun hits, it was stifling and unbearable; it needs a fan for the afternoon to combat this flaw. Room 112 was also very cramped; the beds were large and comfortable so I think it makes up for taking up so much of the small room.

Perfect location and I was delighted to have a bathtub. Perfect after a long day of walking.

my room was missing a kettle. But -- this was a one night stay so it didn't matter. And the staff explained that they were unable to provide a kettle as they were ordering new ones. So - appreciated the effort to meet my needs.

Breakfast was excellent! Very easy to find check in. Had a little difficulty finding the St. Michel annex as the door to those 6 units appeared to have the name of another hotel on it.

Room got a little warm overnight.

Fabulous location on Mont Saint-Michel in historical building.

Very uncomfortable mattress, cheap appointments (e.g. paper cups that disintegrated after one use, worn towels, etc.)

The view was incredible!

For $400, no AC was sad. Even a portable unit would’ve been perfect. Also, check in was at 3PM but the room wasn’t ready until well after. Again, for the price that room should be ready on time.

It is worth staying on Mount St Michel for the novelty value, the hotel is nice, clean and plain. Obviously the views are amazing and its very other worldly staying in such a unique place that is a UNESCO Heritage site. The staff were polite and helpful. Their is an amazing restaurant called Mare Poulard, which has photos of the rich and famous who have eaten their in days gone by. There is a magnificent example of how they carved windows from the bedrock. The food is exceptional and there is a good choice of foods on the menu. Its so lovely to walk around and you can be completely impressed at the level of architectural engineering from the era. It is totally stunning.

You cannot drive onto the Mount, you have to drive to an allocated parking area which is close by to the shuttle bus to the Mount. A stay on the Mount is not for the faint hearted there are 168 steps from the base to our room on the third floor of the our hotel!!. The hotels will send you a message with the location of the car park and the pass code for the parking. It will cost about Euro 14.70 to park overnight. You use your ticket to pay on the way out.
