We enjoyed that our room is just above the restaurant which is great for a family with kids. We booked the apartment and we had a kitchenette and since the resto has only penne with chicken nugget for kids selection. We decided to prepare our child a meal and he enjoyed his Netflix and his alone time while we were enjoying couples time in peace. We stayed for 6 nights and after a while you tried most of their menu. We loved the location because its near the highway. The staffs were friendly. Apartment room is spacious for 3 people. Kitchenette was fully functioning. We are not a big breakfast family so we decided to buy fresh bread everyday at their shop. Overall its a good place as a based in the Provence area surrounded by nature. Cheeses, fresh bread, wine are must try. Surroundings are also great with zoo, garden, their farm.

Pool would be great to have in this property. Didnt like that they did not clean daily but if you requested they will come and clean. Its just not automatic and when they cleaned, they didnt bother cleaning the floor. Its an old floor but since we were eating there were more dirt. But it didnt make our stay unpleasant. Also it can be too loud with helipcopters around because its near a military training area. But it didnt bother us as it was only during daytime.

Romantic setting in a charming historic property and working vineyard. We stayed in a beautiful room decorated with antiques, in a building attached to the onsite destination restaurant. Best to make a reservation if you plan to dine there. A gourmet experience with delightful, dedicated staff. One of the better breakfasts we had on our road trip and one of the few that was serve-yourself. I could boil my own egg! Ham and cheese, toast and pastries. Yogurt and fruit salad. Breakfast is served in a tented area adjacent to the restaurant. Surrounded by beautiful fields and vineyards. Peaceful. Though it’s easy to see how that could be different at other times since the property can accommodate large groups. Property is fun to wander around. Reception is located in the on-site wine tasting boutique. Staff were wonderful everywhere.

Coffee machine at breakfast was very disappointing, Coffee in the room was better. No fridge in room.

The whole estate is in a very impressive location - mountains are visible just on the horizon, all around. It is located centrally on the whole vineyards farm. The views are magical. Plenty of areas to sit down and chill, go for a hike or just enjoy a glass of wine. The room we had was spacious and had all amenities and even a small kitchenette (fridge, micro weave, stove-top and kitchen sink). The Verdon gorges are an hours drive away as are many small historic towns which you can visit. The wine they produce is excellent as well as the cheeses. There are plenty of farm animals kept at the estate which the guests are encouraged to visit. The local restaurant serves excellent food (confirmed by local people from nearby towns who come for lunch and dinner). They make their own cheese and bread. We were NOT bothered by the nearby military helicopter base. You just kind of ignore it after a few fly-by's (and plus, they are not constant).

The breakfast was a little disappointing (compared to the restaurant). Very limited options, not the best quality of pastries (except for the bread, which is made on-site). Nothing too bad, though, and priced affordably. The sound isolation for the room was very poor. If you want to go to bed early - you will hear the restaurant guests below you or outside or the guests in the next room. The restaurant closes at an appropriate hour, though, and maintains a good sound policy so you should be fine.

Everything was just great: The breakfast with best croissants in France baked in the bakery at the property. The food in the beautiful restaurant. Cheese made at the property. Hotel, rooms, gardens just beautiful. Veronica at the shop was great. We already returned on the way back and definitely will go back again!

We loved the charm of the place including the buildings, grounds and surrounds. The hotel is almost in the middle of nowhere which makes it super quiet and secluded. We loved our room and the nice touches in our room. Would stay here again if we had more time.

We didn't find the staff super welcoming when we arrived at reception. We did arrive slightly before "check-in" time but from the instructions we received in our Booking.com messages, it outlined "check-in" was at 3pm when it was actually at 4pm. However, they did let us leave the bags and they placed them in our room when it was ready.

I kind of have mixed feelings about this. The Château was really nice, the surroundings, room quality, the farm, and the whole atmosphere. Everything was great. Yet I would not stay here again with kids younger that 3-4 years (though they advertise here as having family room) since we had quite some troubles getting food for our youngest one (they brought chicken nuggets with al dente pasta for 10months baby on the first night, though we asked for some mashed vegetables or similar) and the only option for breakfast which we managed to negotiate was scrambled eggs (they suggested just giving sugary granola clusters, or some ham, etc.)

Staff at the restaurant lacks competence ("I'm sorry, I work here for two weeks I don't know") Cod served two days in a row on dinner time There is an Army Helicopter training academy just nearby (Base General Lejay Ealat) so basically they start hovering fighter choppers at 8:30 and go until midnight. Though usually they try to keep their distance in the evening between 10 and midnight they were doing aggressive flybys just above your heads - so no tranquility sipping wine on the patio

Good location not far from the small town of Le Cannet-des-Maures with some shops. Quite place, good nature with vineyards. Spacious well-kept territory of the Chateau where one can take a walk. The rooms are well decorated and furnished, where one really gets the feel of a country house. Very friendly stuff at the reception and in the restaurant.

The breakfast was quite poor.

Very beautiful, large property within wine landscape, excellently renovated rooms. Restaurant has the same beautiful setting with large terrace and offers tasty food, also nice bar terrace to just enjoy a drink. Fun for kids to stroll around the property with it‘s shop of local produce and to watch the animals.

Restaurant menu choice is a bit limited, especially for kids. Not so much to do in the area around Chateau Roux, and it‘s at least 45min drive to most sights of the area, incl. St. Tropez and it’s beaches

The place is nicely located in the farm, so it is peaceful and calm. The surounding area of farm with farm animals and plants is really cool. The room was oldstyle, but very comfy. The boutique shop at the premises is really great, offering wine, cheeses, etc. from their own and neighbouring farms

The shower amenities could be better (especially cosmetics were really poor). The breakfast could be improved.

The apartment was very comfortable, bigger than expected, with two bathroom, which was great for a family of 4. the personnel was very kind and also the location amazing, in the french countryside, surrounded by nature and animals. We even tried the restaurant for dinner once and it was really good.

The breakfast was good (lots of fruit, marmolades, bread, cereals etc), though we expected more variety of options, and more products produced by the chalet itself, considering the price per person.
