ibis Chalons en Champagne

What I mainly liked as a lady on my own, travelling across Europe in a car to get to Hungary for work, was that they’d placed me in the corner room as the hotel was very male dominated. Then the lady (sorry didn’t see name tag, but she had a tattoo of dumbo on inside of right arm) was amazing. She instantly (and she was super busy in the restaurant) made me feel at ease. She didn’t try to force me to speak French. She was so good with her information and really cared about what she was doing from checking in, to her open friendly manner and attention to your needs either food, drink etc. She is a total asset to your company and should definitely be progressed if she wants. The shower was fantastic and bed super comfy and the location overlooking fields was wonderful.

Signage to hotel could be a little clearer but that is it.

Quiet location, whilst still being well placed to access all major routes. Fresh clean appearance inside and out.Very comfortable bed. Staff pleasant and accommodating.

Although there was free tea and coffee facilities in the bar/ breakfast area we would have preferred tea/ coffee making facilities in the room. Kettle in the room for the early morning cuppa is a boon Glad we didn’t have the breakfast 10 euros 50 looked really poor value to us!!

This is a great choice for a one night stay en route to the South of France, very convenient access from the autoroute, and restaurant and bar facilities on site were also very welcome. The pleasant outside seating area is an additional bonus at this Ibis, especially welcome on a warm evening.

The hotel is located in a slightly confusing, large maze like parking complex. We found it using our SatNav, but it would have been difficult without it!

Very comfortable bed. Very good shower.

The price for the location was in my view a bit to high... my choice for this location was the route it was on. Its a few miles to eat out if there is no facility at the time. My recommendation is get food delivered via an app. No snacks available.

Breakfast was really nice and the manager went out of his way to help us by printing out our Passenger Locator forms. He also emailed mi in advance to say no evening meal was available and advised us as to where we could find restaurants.

Staffing wasn't available for an evening meal.

quiet and easy to reach from the motorway

It was Sunday afternoon, the restaurant was closed and there was nothing for us to buy as a snack, even from a machine. I was not feeling 100% well so we did not want to go in to Chalons to eat and we had, mistakenly, thought that something simple we could buy to see us through until breakfast.

After original booking in Troyes fell through we had to hunt for somewhere new in a hurry ( en rout Marseilles - UK and a holiday weekend many places FULL) so were lucky to find the Ibis only a short detour) had no great expectations but dinner surprisingly good as was early morning breakfast! Yes

Restaurant closed Sunday night No kettle in room to make tea (we are English so tea facilities very welcome after a long drive!! -essential if bombs are falling!😂

I liked the fact that it was a comfortable place to stay with secure parking. It has a restaurant on site which was handy because there is not much around.

Nothing. It was exactly what I needed/wanted for that evening.

Quiet location, nice breakfast,restful stop for the next days travel.

Not easy to find way in, sat nav told me to drive down a road which has a large channel dug across it! We worked out how to get there 🤔😏
