Best Western Hotel Canet-Plage

The location across from the beach helpful friendly staff. Rooms compact but efficiently arranged. Excellent sea view. Great breakfast.

There were only flimsy curtains facing the street/sea so we got a lot of sun straight into our face. The manager at checkout said there was a button to press to bring blinds down but perhaps we missed it as I could not find it. There was a sign encouraging us to book directly next time as booking.com charged 17% on top. Is this true? The restaurants nearby pretty shabby and limited. We are at one a fish place le gou…. Recommended by the hotel And one of the staff seemed to resent us being there. Brought us milk in an old cracked jug and took offence when my partner asked for a jug that was not so old and badly cracked.

The staff were extremely helpful to us. Just before arrival we had a burst tyre on our hired car ( we were on a road trip of the Cathar Trail and the Pyrenees- Orientales) . The reception staff came to our rescue ( when the hire car company didn't) and arranged for a local garage to come and check the car and then provide and fit new tyres. We would have been really stuck without the help of the reception staff and can't thank them enough. If there was a means of us putting them forward for a staff service award we would like to do so. The staff then organised a taxi to take us to Colliure for lunch ( this was to be a highlight of our road trip and of course no car) and also booked a restaurant with a view for us. They also recommended a popular restaurant in the old town of Canet-en- Rousillon which we went to and which was excellent ( we were also given a map and several recommendations for local restaurants which was very helpful) We were very impressed with the service. Additionally.... Large selection of items for breakfast and freshly prepared. Staff kept the area very clean. Very good shower which was easy to control temperature ( this was not always the case on our road trip). Excellent view from the balcony to the beach and Mediterranean.

Only one suggestion.The curtains were very flimsy and let in the early morning light as well as the street lights when dark. And also didn't protect from the heat. Perhaps black-out lined curtains?

Staff at Reception has been very friendly and polite at all times and gave good information to all our questions!! We took the Breakfast- Buffet only once - it has been very good with a lot f choice. The ladies that took care about it made shure that everything has been available sufficently. .. Great Job..!! Definately would come again - but please keep in mind: we booked the beach- view room with beautiful balcony-which means that there is a road between hotel and beach - but it didn't disturb us because the windows isolated the street- noise very good ( it hasn't been too much traffic at night anyhow).

Perfekt for our stay..

The higher rooms (4th floor and above) have lovely views of the Pyrenees and other nearby mountains and we were treated to a spectacular sunset from our small, but cute balcony. Excellent renovated rooms with comfortable beds and a smart modern bathroom with rain shower.

Maybe clearer information when booking on parking options (there is no hotel car park) when booking.

the views of the mountains were spectacular, especially with the sunset on that side too! the hotel was lovely and perfect for a couple looking for a 5 day get away. the staff were very friendly and helpful and made our stay all the more enjoyable! would definitely head back.

if I had to nit pick, maybe the size of the toilet was a little on the small side but in all honesty it wasn’t an issue - only if I have to write something here that would be what stood out.

This hotel shows that you can be pet friendly and still remain superb: clean, comfortable and great service. I was traveling with my husband and our dog. Everything I asked for… from a quiet room to the right kind of pillows… they delivered with a smile. Decoration in great taste, amazing view and real good air conditioning in the room.

I have no complaints. Maybe the only suggestion is that it would be nicer to offer 2 complimentary bottles of water when there are 2 guests in the room.

The room was fantastic spacious with a lovely balcony with a view to die for. I was in room 31 beautiful.The staff where very friendly and accommodating very nice people. We will definitely be visiting again, next year and for the foreseeable.

Booked a room with 2 single beds with city view. Because these were not available anymore, we received an upgrade to a seaview room. Very friendly and helpfull staff. Gave is recommendations for restaurants. Offered free water, when checking out. Big +

I can't recommend this hotel highly enough. Excellent location, good air conditioning (in bedrooms and public space), very comfortable beds, good modern bathroom, and an extremely helpful staff team. I recommend (if money permits) booking a sea view room with balcony.

first line with a view of the sea, the nice receptionist gave us a free sea view, the bed was comfortable and the balcony was nice to sit on until it got cooler, the car park facility was in a locked garage around 5 minutes walk, all in all a good place with friendly staff

the water took a bit to warm up in the shower and the staircase was very very narrow not easy with full bags to navigate up and down and you have to use the small lift which was busy in the morning
