Hotel Les 3 Marchands

Location was ideal to stay overnight on the way to our property further on. Easy to find and quiet and peaceful -even though not far from main roads. The hotel had recently been decorated and was spotlessly clean. The bed was extremely comfortable. Lovely bathroom and a separate toilet. The staff were friendly and polite - we do not speak fluent French, but the staff were patient and helpful and made us feel welcome. We enjoyed a really lovely meal in the restaurant during the evening and plenty to eat and drink with their continental breakfast, the next morning- the staff were very attentive. Reasonably priced.

Nothing - we were very pleased. Perhaps some benches to sit outside in the grounds, if visitors arrive earlier than planned and the weather is good, would be nice.

The lady who checked us in was very efficient and she not only served drinks in the evening and served dinner, then the next morning took care of breakfast what a star! Breakfast was good value for money. Great parking

Basic no frills hotel room. For anyone in the UK I would compare this to a Travelodge/Ibis budget hotel. Comfortable bed, decent wifi and shower. Fine for a 1 night stay.

External window shutters cannot be adjusted from the inside due to the way the window opens. Upon arrival there was a notice on the door saying reception was closed and to call a number. Due to it being an international number I was unable to call it. I messaged the property on booking.com and they immediately responded with the access code for the hotel and my room number. Perhaps it would have been more beneficial if they had messaged me these details in advance

Very friendly staff. Rooms, restaurant and other areas very clean. Excellent meal in restaurant.

Facilities in bedrooms could have been more generous. Wardrobe was in bathroom.

Unfortunately, before booking we didn't notice that there is no restaurant facility on Saturday evenings. No fault of the hotel but there are major roadworks outside hotel, no information of this before we arrived and had to be directed by a local farmer how to get to the hotel. Loud noise from neighbouring rooms, slamming of doors, shouting. There are no staff on duty to speak to, did not feel safe. We found a telephone number in the Logis handbook just an answer phone, left a message asking to be called still no call 2 days later. This is the worst Logis hotel that we have ever stayed in.
