excellent position. across the road from the tram which is incredibly easy, 5 mins from the station, supermarket round the corner and plenty of restaurants in a short walk staff very helpful, Dao in particular I particularly liked the scheme the hotel offers regarding room cleaning. if you don’t want your room cleaned etc tell them the night before and you will be given voucher for a glass of wine each. great idea. no one needs their room cleaning everyday! totally unnecessary in todays world. more hotels should adopt this

nothing really, had everything we needed for a short break

The location is perfect, right on the C/D tramline stop Tauzia and super close to Gare St Jean- The breakfast is always very good with a varied choice that fits all tastes, it is lovely on warm days to et on the terrace. The staff at the hotel are incredibly friendly, Nicolas as reception was very helpful and always has a smile. The rooms are very clean and the beds incredibly comfortable.

The hotel was generally very good. Staff were well above average, they were all excellent: smiling, friendly, helpful. The breakfast was excellent and for a wide range of taste. I did not intend of having breakfast but jet lag push me downstairs around 9AM ... what a good move :-) The hotel/room were clean and quiet (even with the tram running in the front street). Very weel located at a small walk from the station and walking distance from Old Bordeaux and very nice restaurants with a wide range of prices.

Bathroom might be a little too small.

good value, near the station which we needed. Excellent tram system stops immediately outside the hotel taking you easily into the old town. Dao on the front desk was very helpful

Breakfast was very good if overpriced at 18 Euros pp. Location excellent with the tram stops just outside the hotel. The classic room was a reasonable size and the bed comfortable. We had a power cut overnight on our second night which couldn't be fixed by the reception staff member who immediately responded to our complaint in the morning. He arranged the room to be changed for us at once and we were upgraded to a premier room with terrace plus a complimentary breakfast. Impressed by all staff members who couldnt be faulted, cheerful, welcoming and attentive.

On arrival the scaffolding outside the hotel is a bit disappointing to the eye but it's good to know that the facade is being upgraded. Otherwise no complaints!

I loved the staff. Very professional and very nice. Thank you to Theo Yannick Maeva and Marouan and a blonde guy(unfortunately I don’t know his name). He was working during dinner time. All of them They were always welcoming us with a smile on their face. I enjoyed the breakfast and the diner. The choice for dinner or/and lunch is limited to three dishes because they have a chef. However, if you want to munch, they have some “bocaux” available at any time.

I appreciated the professionalism of the staff. It compensated for some lacks in the bedroom . I didn’t have a telephone to join the reception and some of the plugs didn’t work.

Great location - especially if you want to be near Bordeaux-St Jean railway station (it's 5 minutes' walk / one tram stop away). Tauzia tram stop (C and D lines) is 100 yards from the hotel. Basically, you can walk or get the tram to everywhere along the river in minutes. Special thanks to Thibaud on the desk who really helped us out when easyJet cancelled our flight back to Glasgow and we had to stay another night at the last minute. The food is really good - both dinner and breakfast is well above average. Our room was on the first floor and had a great balcony area which was spaciaous and was a real sun-trap - this in itself made our stay all the more enjoyable. Room was great - everything worked. TV was big - there are a couple of English language channels (if you change the audio on the remote!) but no Netflix option. Wi-fi is good.

Honestly can't really find fault. The surrounding area is a bit run-down but not a safety concern.

We were given an upgrade and the room was lovely, the bed was large and comfortable. We would have made use of the terrace, but it was extremely hot, so we kept to the air conditioned room. And the breakfast was fabulous.

The shower was lovely but I would have liked a bath.

The lobby was informal and welcoming, with lots of colourful paintings and objects. The lifts worked perfectly and the room was spacious, comfortable and clean. There was a nice welcoming message left in the room which was a nice touch. All the staff were lovely and very helpful. The breakfast was superb.

Only one thing to mention - the shower head in our bathroom was loose and made showering difficult and the water was very slow to drain, resulting in the tray filling with water.

The restaurant was superb. We dined there 3 nights on a Dinner, B&B package. Yannick really looked after us explaining the menu and making replacements where appropriate. He also suggested some fine wines to enjoy with our meals.

We only noticed a sign in the lift on our final day stating we could swap housekeeping for a free drink in the bar. We would have liked to do this as we were only there for 3 days so didn’t really need the housekeeping. It would have been good if this was explained at check in.
