Logis Hotel De La Basilique

A superbly located hotel in the centre of Albert, perfect for exploring the surrounding battlefields. The hotel is professionally run, clean and quiet. The breakfast buffet was tasty and healthy and there is an exceptional restaurant attached to the hotel. It serves the best food in Albert, in my humble opinion!

Nothing. It’s perfect if you want a well located, reasonably priced and exceptionally comfortable base from which to explore the surrounding area.

Hotel is in the middle of town, close to everything, including museums, parks, restaurants, and markets if you need anything. The rooms are tiny but the beds are comfortable. Rooms and bathroom are super clean. Outlets for phone chargers and such are a little inconvenient and if you are traveling with luggage, space is an issue. Be aware there's no elevator. The hotel has no parking, but street parking is fairly ample and free. Good choice if location and cleanliness are important. Also...the view from our window was lovely! There is also also a restaurant on premises. All in all it was a good choice if you want to be close to battlefields and memorials and not stay in a bigger city. Albert is delightful!

The only blip we had was if you need something from your car late at night, we couldn't figure out how to get out, as they lock all the doors up, and no 24 hour staff that I could see...but I didn't try very hard.

The hotel was in the middle of Albert which was very convenient ... there was parking available ... Hotel staff were very pleasant, the room was comfortable. The restaurant was very good!

Breakfast could have been better ... just a couple of bread rolls and mini croissants/pain au chocolate. I know our visit wasn't "in season" but full size croissants for breakfast should be normal in France??

Breakfast was good, with hot and cold choices as was the evening meal, restaurant was full so that's always a good sign. The location was perfect, right in the center of town and there is street parking in the center though we parked our motorbikes on the large pavement in front of the hotel.

Having to climb a narrow stair to the 2nd floor , but it was easier coming down :)

We arrived early but were allowed to check-in and access our room. The hotel is right at the heart of the town and has a nice vibe. We enjoyed a very pleasant dinner outside the hotel in the evening.

Breakfast was good but seemed very sterile - everything pre-packed and not a lot of choice. I assume that this is a hang over from Covid.

Nice little family hotel. Perfect location opposite the Basilica and very interesting museum of the Somme. Nice friendly staff. Had a lovely meal in the restaurant. A nice area outside the hotel with a few bars and fountain overlooking the Basilica.

Slightly disappointed by the profiteroles for dessert.

Very friendly, welcoming staff. Central Albert location, we had a lovely view of the Basilique. Evening meal in the restaurant was very good. Although the hotel did not have a car park, there was plenty of parking on the streets nearby.

Breakfast didn’t feel value for money. Croissants were not as good as they could have been. Limited options for alternative places to eat breakfast in Albert. No lounge areas to relax in.

Staff were lovely and very helpful Fabulous location for visiting WW1 sites in the Somme Great on site restaurant

Noisy on street side, and weather was hot while we’re there so had to open windows, but manager gave us a fan for our second night

Clean, nice staff, great central location, with a few bars and restaurants nearby. great location if visiting the local WW1 sites ( most with 10 miles).

like everything, including the breakfast ( no English breakfast, but you are in France) and all was fresh and nice.

Friendly and convenient! Great food, comfortable. Extra blankets and pillows in room. Family run and accommodating. Comfy beds. I would recommend to friends and family.

Nothing about the stay was dislikable at the price point. Everything met or exceeded expectations.
