An exceptional breakfast selection and a room with a view.

The pool area was quite cold.

We had a family room in the newly renovated block - connected by a subway which was much appreciated in the snowy -25deg weather! The room was very comfortable, great view over the river, and we loved the bunk beds that folded out from the wall for the kids. The breakfast buffet was extensive and very nice, typical of the Scandic chain. The hotel is a few more blocks away from the centre of town, but it is right by the river, next to one of the main tour operators, and on a bus route. The staff were very helpful, particularly in explaining the etiquette for the saunas and pool - thanks! The pool temperature is cool, but that's for cooling off after the sauna - embrace the culture!

No complaints

The staff were incredibly helpful in assisting us to get transportation information during the off-season. They were always friendly and knowledgeable! The reindeer cream cheese spread and local bread were delicious at breakfast! There were also a lot of other breakfast options, everything tasty. The room was very comfortable, and our view of the river was breathtaking!

Great location, lovely hotel (somewhat dated) but great size room with tea making facilities - great selection for breakfast, pool (cool water) and sauna was nice in the evening after a day of site seeing! Fantastic reception staff, full of knowledge and very helpful when booking taxis! Thank you very much

The single beds were very comfy, but the pull out double kept coming apart!

The family room we had exceeded or expectations as the photos on the website made the rom look very dated but when we arrived it was much newer and the bathroom was ver modern. Excellent use of the space within the room for effectively four adults to be there.

The heating system didn't wrk one day but luckily the hotel overall is warm so it was't a big issue. The bedding was super warm so for sleeping it made no difference.

Douze points go to: 1. THE STAFF (always ready to provide great service at every moment in every situation). 2. THE RESTAURANT - Served delicious food 3. GREAT LOCATION and EASY CONNECTION with the airport (you don't need a taxi. For 1/4 the price you can get to and from the airport).

1. The swimming pool was extremely cold to my taste. 2. Internet, especially if you try to connect with your phone.

Absolutely excellent breakfast. Superb location as close to 2 Shopping centers. Bus stop right outside hotel for Bus No 8 to Santa Claus Village and another bus that goes to Santa Claus Village too. Amazing, helpful, friendly reception staff. The view over the river and bridge is lovely.

The hotel is an old hotel which could do with a bit of updating in certain areas but one looks past that as the rooms are nice and big and very cosy which I don't think one would have at a modern place. Very comfortable beds too. The historical past of the hotel is also interesting and lends to its ambience. So even if some parts seem to need a bit of updating one looks past that.

Very cute Nordic design! Amazing pool, sauna. Great location! Close to the center but quiet. The hotel has very good soundproofing. We had a standard room, but the view from the window to the river was gorgeous! The breakfast was very varied, a lot of healthy products, a lot of goodies. There is a tour desk in the building next door where you can book reindeer, snowmobile or dog sled safaris.

We liked everything

Everything was good about the property but they did not provide an electric kettle in the room and requesting them they said that it will cost €15. I have been to much lower stars hotels but every hotel has provided an electric kettle. I don’t know what was the big deal about the electric kettle here. All unnecessary things have been kept in the room like beautiful show pieces , 3 lampshades a TV which we don’t even watch…..an IPad to make calls……BUT NO ELECTRIC KETTLE WHICH IS SO IMPORTANT ESPECIALLY BECAUSE WE ARE IN A PANDEMIC AND WOULD WANT TO DRINK ONLY BOILED AND HOT WATER :(

Every time I wanted hot water I had to come down to the ground floor and collect it from the coffee machine which gave me only 2 cups at a time and then I had to go back and come again after half an hour if I wanted the next 2 cups. Because of this I felt as though I was living in a Hostel or hospital. There was a Kettle in the Reception and when I went to use it because the water in the coffee machine had got over, the Male Staff in the Reception got annoyed and asked me if I would like to work there ?? Maybe I was not supposed to touch the kettle in the reception but there was no other Staff also there to help me. He was alone & already busy with a Guest & I couldn’t wait coz it was close to Midnight.

Great breakfast, nice room, location is awesome, right next to the city center and in front of the hotel is bus stop that gets you directly to the airport or Santa Village. You can even borrow plastic sledge "bob" for children from them. Great value for the money.

The pool was too cold for us, it might be ok for Finland people, I don't know but we are used to warmer ones. Otherwise everything great.
