Auberge du Vieux Faubourg

The service I received from the second I arrived was incredible. My French is basically nil but through a bit of verbal work and some hand gestures followed by some laughs we made it work. I required a car mechanic for a muffler problem. They directed to an honest mechanic and picked me up and drove me back to my room. 2hrs later the mechanic was at my door to pick me up. I was flabbergasted. Then the water view was equally amazing.

Everyone and everything was amazing but if I'm to pick apart anything I'd have to say that the walls are thin. The other occupants were great but I could hear some conversation.

Auberge du Vieux Faubourg was a quaint boutique hotel right on the river. The room was large and comfortable. The bathroom is somewhat dated and could use an update but was still very clean. There were chairs on the deck outside our room to enjoy the evening however we had to enjoy the view through our window as it was a rainy and cold (10⁰ C) June evening. We ate at the nearby ‘Du Quai’. They are understaffed and it was slow to be seated and waited upon but the food was excellent.

We had a comfortable room with plenty of space, good shower and furniture. The quiet balcony was a great spot to watch the sunset over the St Lawrence on a warm evening. The main attraction was the proximity to the National Park.

I felt it was a little expensive for what we got really. Absolutely nothing to dislike but we have paid less for more on this trip.

The hotel, location, and owners were all so incredibly lovely. Watching the gulls fly over the sea from the balcony every day was such a peaceful treat. Perfect home base for our skiing trip to Gaspesie National Park (about 40 minute drive) and made our spring trip so memorable.

The rooms were fabulous!! Comfortable beds, the bathroom was recently renovated and lovely with great water pressure in the shower. Location is great, walking distance to everything in town and on the water. We were lucky to have a beautiful sunset to enjoy from the oceans edge the evening we stayed. We arrived on bicycles and our gracious hostess Marina provided secure bike storage for us! We had a lovely stay and would certainly come back if the opportunity arose and recommend our friends stay here as well!

This was a beautiful waterfront room with amazing views of the water/sunset from comfortable deck chairs on the balcony. The room was large and nicely decorated. Bed were comfy.. great shower! A god restaraunt within walking distance and the woman who checked us in was super friendly and very helpful :)

The room was spacious and incredibly clean. I had an early morning for a contract, and the coffee machine in the room was perfect. The fridge kept my lunch cool so I could be ready for the next day. Every was super comfortable and the staff super friendly, even though I had a late check-in. Marina was exceptional. Thank you again !

Room was a good size but up 2 flights of stairs. Big deck, steps from the river. Great unobstructed view. Fridge, microwave, coffe maker. Walk to Metro, Tim Horton’s, restaurants. Museum next door.

Shower sprayed all over floor. Door lock difficult to use.

Nice clean room with comfortable beds and a large washroom. Right at the edge of the river which is fantastic to sit in the chairs provided on the balcony to sit and watch the waves and the great sunsets. We didn’t sit outside as it was mid October and the air was quite fresh. Would come back!

Very comfortable bed. Nice area to sit outside the bedroom area. Very roomy Seaside world be preferred but road side was still quiet.

Very small TV with limited channels and no Netflix or crave. No AC and very warm with just fans.
