Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Gatineau/Manoir du Casino

The room was spacious and clean. The Nexpresso coffee maker was a nice touch. The heating system was better than most. The staff was very accommodating: they gave us a requested microwave, cleaned the room earlier one day to accommodate our schedule and assisted us with an early checkout due to an upcoming snowstorm. The breakfast buffet had a lot of options. The sauna was nice. They have a fitness center but we did not use it this time. Close to Gatineau Park.

The hot tub was not operational, which we like to use after skiing. Perhaps it is shut down for good? However, they did provide two benches in the pool near the jets. Of course, the pool water was not as warm as a hot tub. The pool didn't look crystal clean.

Everything OK in room. Great idea to have Nespresso coffee but would have liked some cream or milk cups in fridge.

Did not like the staff. They had trouble solving how I paid room in advance through Booking.com. Staff was sort of OK at check-in but little communication unless I asked what was so difficult. Staff at check-ouy were trying to resolve problem also but were not communicating and unaplogetic. I had no extra charges so I got tired of waiting and simply left.

The beds were awesome! The rooms were very good and spacious! The convenient access to Super C was an added bonus!

The cost of the stay and the breakfast could be part of the package! The neighbours to our room on the very first day were pathetic! Literally, causing a ruckus all through the night. I think they had minor altercations and they were taking it up outside and bothering others so much that one of the neighbouring room members had to step in to stop them and let them know that this will be reported if they don't stop it yet from fighting in the alley!

The beds were fine; not as uncomfortable as some but could be more comfortable. The best thing was the jetted tub in the bathroom. Overall, it is starting to show its age; we've stayed before and I didn't notice some of the 'wear and tear' in the past that I did this trip.

Some disrepair and there was some noise one night (some sort of banging about 3 am). As well, we were 3 in the room and we had to keep asking for the 3rd set of towels..

The house keeping staff were rock stars friendly accommodating and efficient. I requested daily housekeeping and was happily accommodated. I had booked 2 loft suites for a family vacation for a week and both were kept immaculate. I am a neet freak and not easily pleased and I was. The pool area was perfect for the children and decorations for Christmas were lovely. Breakfast was good and the week day servers were particularly good, they remembered little things like who took coffee and who had tea. I personally found the front desk staff friendly, but the rest of my family not so much and became fearful of approaching them and I became the only who would go to get key cards recoded or the pool card recoded.

The rooms were a little dated and in need of few repairs. The door to the bathroom in the one suite didn't close properly l think it was worped. The hair dryers in both suites either didn't work or worked poorly. The bathroom tile had small chips. The floors were beautiful no carpet much cleaner. Also I did report the hair dryer problem 3 times but nothing was ever done and couple of lamps that didn't work were looked at but were told they were unfixable and they had no others. Also the last day there the parking lot was so slippery I fell. When reported I was no asked if I was hurt or apologized to.

Location was great very close to Ottawa. Onsite parking was free and very convenient. Size of loft was a perfect fit for us, family of 5. Lobby area was clean and inviting. Nice helpful staff

Ceiling fan/light wasn't working. Lighting is too dark. If that light in the ceiling was working it would of been perfect. Called guess service they said they would send someone to check it out. We had to head out and I didn't want to waste time waiting on maintenance. When we got back at night I noticed they turned on the AC but didn't bother fix the ceiling fan/light. And couch needs steam cleaning way too dirty

Large, very clean, comfortable rooms with lots of space and good amenities (bathroom products, coffee-making). Beds were very comfortable and there was much more sitting space (chairs, coffee table, desk & chair) than most other hotel rooms I've been in. Convenient location for our needs (we were attending an event at the Hllton Lac Leamy).

The elevator was out of action during most of our stay; not a problem for us but might have been for guests with low mobility and/or heavy luggage. Corridors need some renovation & extra cleaning.

They fixed it be switching my room - but initially when we had a room on the 2nd floor, and I checked the bathroom, the floors were not only overly “squeaky” around the bathtub (I know old floors creek, my house is 130 years old!) but they were actually a bit spongy. there is definitely water damage there….. but, we moved up to a 3rd floor room, floors still had regular squeaks’, but the area felt solid and I felt good about showering! :) Thank you for changing our room no real questions asked!! The front desk customer service was exceptional!!! I have never asked to change rooms before - so I was nervous - but she made it quick and simple!! thank you again!

Layout of the room was nice

The sofa bed was NOT good. The springs were popping up all over. We had to place the mattress on the floor to make a place for the people to sleep Could not use the pool, very cloudy and did not feel it was maintained properly.

The facilities met our expectations, the room was very clean, most of the staff were very courteous and helpful. The location was suitable. Our room was very quite.

1. The front desk agent was not very helpful until I got upset and then her attitude changed and she solved our pricing situation, blaming the mix up on Booking.com. I don't believe her, but it finally got resolved to our satisfaction. 2. The bed was not made properly, but my wife remade it and all was good. 3. It would have been appreciated if the desk agent had explained there was no room service of any kind during our stay. We later learned, that information was printed on a card in the room however, I seldom read materials left in a room. If the desk agent had made a point that we should be sure to read that card, it would have made our stay much more pleasant.
