The Home Place Inn

The Home Place Inn provided me and my wife with superior service for an unbelievably excellent price. The location was great; It is nestled in Kensington which is central to the island of PEI. Moreover, the food was absolutely amazing! You have many options to choose from for breakfast, and all of them were superb and delightfully plated with substantial portions that filled my wife and I till supper. Bonus: the sweet and savoury aromas of Angie and Lynn in the kitchen waft into the rooms making it far easy to roll out of the comfortable beds. The owners (Greg and Angie) are the sweetest people you will ever meet and will go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and cared for. They also gave us excellent suggestions on where to eat and what to see on the island. The rooms were clean, comfortable and elegantly designed to portray the rich history of the house, but elevated the experience with gentle modern twists like a jacuzzi and mini fridge! We loved our time at the Home Place Inn and hope one day we find ourselves back there. Thank you Greg and Angie for an unforgettable time!

There was nothing we didn’t like — It literally couldn’t have been any better!

Angie and Greg were fabulous hosts. This place exceeded our expectations. Greg was welcoming right off the get go, gave us a tour of the house and a bit of its history. Showed us to our room and told us to make ourselves at home. Gave us recommendations for dinner and things to do around the area. Shared some great travel stories with Angie and Greg in the evening and enjoyed some delicious cheese. The breakfast was DELICIOUS! And the breakfast host was extremely enjoyable with all of his stories. Was a great place to rest and relax and meet other traveller's. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend to everyone

The home is beautiful! We were greeted right away by one of the owners who told us a bit about the history of the house. He was super kind. Our room was spacious and clean. The rooms were really quiet, so even though all the rooms were taken, you wouldn't have known it. The breakfast is complementary and you can request what you want from quite a few selections and they accommodate for any dietary needs. The couple were very friendly and gave us a lot of information about restaurants around the area and popular sites to see on the island. They were exceptional!

A part of the deck outside was blocked off due to renovations, so we look forward to going again in the future when we are able to see that part of the house up and running. We can imagine how beautiful it will be!

We were greeted by Greg. He was very welcoming and showed us around the Inn, helped us with our bags and provided recommendations for where to eat. The room was nicely decorated in period furniture and the bed was amazing. The breakfast was so amazing, we had the breakfast parfait and the pancakes... sooo yummy! We travelled with our dog and she was also warmly welcomed by all staff. I highly recommend this accommodation. I moved to PEI and know that I would be welcomed back to pop in to say hello to Greg and Angie anytime...and I will be doing so!

Everything was perfect

The Inn is an historic building, the room was nicely decorated with a large, comfortable four poster bed. Room and bathroom were spotless. Several options for breakfast, tried 3 and all were delicious and gluten-free as I require. ur hosts, Angie and Greg are friendly and always available. Met other interesting, friendly guests.

Would be nice to have a small table/desk to set up the laptop. Air conditioning could be a little better.

Central location in the lovely town of Kensington, PEI. The hosts and staff are very pleasant and welcoming. Information on the local area and the Island is available from the hosts and staff. Tourist brochures and pamphlets are provided in the relaxing sitting room. The historical home, built circa 1903, is maintained in spotless elegance and grandeur. Our accommodations were comfortable and relaxing with a private 4- piece bathroom. We enjoyed a delicious, freshly prepared breakfast in the dining room. Loved the family dog, too. Everything was perfect!

It was a warm welcoming , Angie made us feel right home. The property is a beautiful B&B with a lot of charm, the room are beautiful decorated and spotless. The location is great and close to all the attractions. The breakfast was excellent, thank you Angie. We are hoping to return to this beautiful spot in the near future, and we will recommend it to all our family and friends.

The location was good for a short stay, a quiet B&B. The home was built in 1915 and the owners have insured that the home has retained that time periods uniqueness.The “Daisy” room was very comfortable. The main floor sitting rooms were all period furniture and made it very quaint. Breakfast was served in a brightly lit dining room with a large selection of breakfasts to choose from. The hosts were very friendly and live onsite. PETS ARE ALLOWED. The B&B is OPEN year round.

The room we had was upstairs and a lot of them.

The hosts, Angie & Greg, were so thoughtful and accommodating. They went above & beyond to make our stay, as well as our daughter’s family, delightful. The inn was charming & had everything we needed. The breakfasts were outstanding. We could live on Angie’s French toast & Greg’s omelettes!

The room, the breakfast, the ambience, the location to get to all parts of the island, we loved everything!

Very little not to like, the room can be a little warm when it is hot but there are lots of fans as well as opening the windows to help circulate the air.
